If you put together a team of top prospects lets say

C-Travis d'Arnaud
1B-Johnathan Singleton
2B-Kolton Wong
3B-Nick Castellanos
SS-Jurickson Profar
RF-Wil Meyers
CF-Bubba Starling
LF-Oscar Taveras

1.Dylan Bundy
2.Trevor Bauer
3.Gerrit Cole
4.Danny Hultzen
5.Zack Wheeler

would defeat the worst team in the Bigs in a 7 game series? Why? and who? In honor of the talk of the day in the NFL "can Alabama defeat the Jaguars". I know this is off topic but it's alright to have fun once in awhile.

Last year I think

Trout-Harper-Machado-Profar-Cespedes would have had a shot. It's a down group now though since most of the phenoms graduated.

Fair enough.

no chance

If they played the Dodgers they'd have a chance.

I guess with baseball ya never know. I think it would be pretty exciting, though.

I agree Mr.Gus

Lol Bubba Starling in an MLB game? Hes so far away.

That team would defeat the Astros in 5 or 6 games IMO.

I think it is possible in baseball only because pitchers that have never been seen before can have startling-ly good outings when they first come up.

However, if these players had never hit in the pro's before they would put up hardly any runs.

1 game - yes I will say they have a chance.

7 game series - I'll take the worst pro team every time.

It's baseball so is possible.

one game they would defiently have a shot. one 7 game series, no way

Most of the time, no they wouldn't.

They just aren't a balanced team filled with favorable options. They are just a group of talented individuals. That's not enough to win in baseball.

Maybe last year though, or maybe pre 2010's team. But most of the time, no.

They also, usually have a giant hole in their game still.

No. Zero major league experience, in a regualr ML game or in an extreme pressure situation.

Some of these guys might turn out to not even be good enough to play on the worst team in the league.

They could beat the Astros, that is basically what the Astro's are anyways, mainly rookies, and not close to the talent of these guys

11-01-2012, 09:18 PM
Hell, the Astros could be the Yankees 1 out of every 4 games

I see no reason why this squad couldn't beat the astros at least 1 of every 4 tries

A 7 game series tho, unlikely

long ball

The astros ended with a team full of misfit toys. The line up you posted doesn't have enough MLB ready talent to win though.
