Well just give the Knicks the win, because New York City is better than New Jersey and New Jersey's relevant to Brooklyn because NYSpirit is a Knick fan and not a Brooklyn Nets fan.

Everything that I've seen from the past couple of hours have been reporting that game is being played tomorrow.

Wouldn't shock me if it was. The safety of people in the New York/New Jersey area and the rebuilding of certain areas should be the number one priority on everyone's mind right now. Sports are secondary at this point.

Same here. I could've sworn I heard that it was definitely going to be played tommorrow.

Unfortunate, but not surprising.

NYC has bigger fish to fry right now.

Is understanding. All the problems NY is going through right now. Nets didn't want to have a home opener with only a few people in attendance. ON A SIDE NOTE LET'S GO KNICKS!

True, EJ said yesterday it was a definite, now Bloomberg postpones it. It's for the best, city has to focus on helping the people, draining the subway systems, helping rebuild, etc.

the storm is not that bad by Barclays, they just won't be able to fill seats because a lot of people were coming by train. that's all it is, imagine how the Nets look opening night with stadium that's 1/3 full.

they will look like how they have looked for over 10 years....like the new jersey nets

Basketball might be a nice distraction for the city right now. Bring all NYers back home by kicking the Nets heads in

Half the people don't have power to even see the game if it was played. The Knicks even lost power today at their facility.

It would be a nice distraction, but power is out all over the southern half of the city. Not to mention, the only way to get to the Barclays Center now is by cab/

I agree with this.

This disaster is bigger than a game of basketball no matter how much money is at stake.

What's crazy about that?

Net's havent had people in the seats in years.

^the fact that they moved to a new location. they're not in NJ anymore.

I thought they would definitely have the game so they could use it as a morale booster for the city but they don't want to open Barclays with a half full arena

Right now, the game will still be played. If there's any day to cancel it, it would be today because Miami is scheduled to fly up there tomorrow.

34 street stations are flooded with no power. I don't think they will play on Friday, sadly.

They are probably going to cancel the Knicks home opener at the Garden on Friday. The A train tunnels between Fulton Street and High Street are completely flooded and the E Train is completely out of service.

Sympathies man. To you and especially your friends.

And it's more than about money. The LAST thing NY needs is the traffic congestion that would come with a game with alot of stations down and limited bus service.

There's alot of first responders and people that need to sort out work and their families that need the road space.

DMasta718

Not surprised. Sucks because I had tickets but it was the right decision. The trains are messed up right now and buses are completely full. I'm even having doubts about Knicks home opener. Could probably take much of the week to get the subways working correctly.
