Penny wasn't good for long enough, and Tim was pretty much only slightly above average for most of his career. Tim also had those comments about gay people, so I doubt it.

I dont think either of them is hall of fame worthy...especially Penny.

Neither is worthy. Didn't do anything of significance.

And only reason Mullin was inducted was because of his good reputation and the fact that he was a member for the original Dream Team. That really increased is rep for the HOF.

They will make it. You guys keep on forgetting its BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME, not NBA Hall of Fame.

Tim wasn't a legendary college player, and neither of them did a whole lot internationally ?

Doesn't matter. they were impressive players. These guys will make the Hall just like Grant Hill.

I see Hardaway getting in eventually, but I don't think Hardaway will.

Oh, wait a minute... they have the same last name. D@mn!

Tim should get in eventually, but I think injuries ate away too much of Penny's career.

Tim has too... id lose all respect for the league if he doesnt

Tim hurt his chances with those gay comments. He said he HATES gay people, and thinks they have no place in the world. He has tried to cover his tracks, but the NBA doesnt need a boycott for a borderline player.

Penny would be a shoe in if not for a derailed career. Not sure if he can make it on 6-7 years of production.

Me personally, I think the HOF should have the strictest criteria. Guys like Tim and Mitch Richmond don't belong if I was voting. I don't know if he'll get in by other people's standards.

anfernee's hall of fame probability
Career 0.048 (208)

Tim hardaway's
Career 0.563 (103)

so according these numbers penny has no chance, while tim is a little bit better then 50/50

Don't like the model because it doesn't account for MVP shares. So someone like Robert Horry has a higher HOF probability than Penny who was a star for several years while Horry was never a star based on rings won.

I'm surprised by the responses, Tim Hardaway is a lock, he just isn't a 1st ballot

Basketball has the worse HOF selection model. Too many people get in. Basketball rosters are the smallest in any given sport, yet the ratio of players getting divided by total players that have played is high compared to other sports.

Baseball is the best, only the rare get in. Football 2nd, Hockey 3rd and the NBA last.

Tim Hardaway will one day have a plaque in the Hall of Fame, although homosexuals will not be allowed to touch it, per his request.
