The rule must change to prevent the opposing team from sabotaging the game by intentionally faulting players they cannot defend. If the faulted player is a pour free throw shooter the teams that gets the free throws are disadvantaged. I looked at this issue for years and it is shame to make a strategy from sabotaging instead of trying to defend.

The awarded free throws must be executed by a player designated by the coach and not by faulted player. This is the way soccer does it and I think it is more fair.

How are the children supposed to learn if they can't even fit inside the building?

How ridiculous. Just because Dwight can't shoot free throws doesn't mean the opposing team shouldn't exploit that.

WTF... comparing soccer pk rules to nba ft attempts. Not the same at all. Hack-a-Shaq is used as a strategy (a good one) to force the team to lose possessions, but risk 2 pts. No one gives away penalty shots on purpose.

These guys get paid millions and can't even learn to make a couple of FT shots? Sorry learn to shoot.

Agreed, if someone is getting hacked because they can't shoot free throws...it's their own fault.
