Yea that was a bonehead move. I thought taking Jonas over Knight was a bad choice last year though and I will likely eat crow on that.

I have no idea...Im not going to pretend that I have watched all these kids in preseason, but from the little amount I know,

Davis still goes #1, Drummond goes #2 or #3, Royce White doesnt get draft until after #25, Austin Rivers goes higher than 10, Sullinger goes in the lottery, Perry Jones goes higher than #28.

I decided I'd rather hear feedback on all the rookies instead of the third straight thread about how sick drummond is.

Austin Rivers has sucked all pre-season, why would he go higher than 10?

because this is the preseason. a question like this can't be answered until 5 years from now. Rivers could turn out to be one of the top 5 players in this draft....or not even in the top 15 for all we know.

This, but I will throw out a few perhaps pre-mature thoughts:

Andrew Nicolson, Sullinger and Jones all are looking like lottery picks. Meyers Leonard, Austin Rivers and Royce White probably should have given their spots up to former 3.

MKG should have gone a bit lower. I don't know about his star potential as a #2 pick. Drummond should not have passed Toronto. Then again, the Cavs never should have given Golden State the chance to pick Barnes because Waiters is not good enough to be the 4th pick.

the Suns drafting Perry Jones ....

I wish Dallas took a chance on him as well. Although Crowder has looked good.

I understand from the suns perspective though as they have Beasley and Frye who are already kind of tweeners with range who don't hit the boards hard.

Thomas Robinson, Jared Sullinger and Perry Jones should have all gone higher. Dion Waiters won't turn out as good as Cleveland would have hoped. I have a feeling Harrison Barnes will be Dorell Wright from 2010-11.

I wouldn't change a damn thing, I am a Pistons fan and I'm really happy we got Drummond.

MKG should have went sooner
Waiters, so far, doesnt look like he is worth the 4th pick

Not that it matters in the long run though, it may take a few years for players to develop so we are all guessing based on a small sample size. Greg Monroe looks like one of the best players in his draft, but give it some time because I feel like John Wall is going to really explode with the right cast... hell he might even make the playoffs with that team this year.

Ok I'm off track im sorry.

Well all of my credibility just went out the window lol... I was scared posting about Drummond in here would make everyone complain and get the thread shut down so I wasn't thinking straight lol.

BUT....

I actual meant Beal, I don't know why I put MKG lol. I think with him playing next to John Wall we may have a chance to see him get good really fast. I think he is gonna prove to be a better player then MKG.

Waiters still sucks so there's that which is good considering the expectations that I have for him so far. Lillard has been very good in both summer league and the preseason. He's posting 50-40-90 numbers to get his 17ppg. His numbers are probably going to tail off as the season goes on but if he stays around this area I'll be very happy as a Blazer fan.

Only team that picked in front of him with a need at PG was the Kings. Possible at 5.

Yeah... Seriously though, why would we even consider a re-draft for the 2012 NBA draft before the 2012 NBA season even starts?!

All this thread is based on is people's own opinions from draft day.

11. Portland Trail Blazers - Terrence Jones
12. Houston Rockets - Jeremy Lamb
13. Phoenix Suns - Terrence Ross
14. Milwaukee Bucks - John Henson Nah-uh.

That's a good look at the lottery if it was redone today.

My suggested changes are in bold and Nicolson and Wroten should replace Leonard and Henson. The order 9 back is debatable, but the right players would be there.

Also, a note on Drummond - I thought he was a top 5 pick and still do. He would have been a good #2 pick because Charlotte is in a position to gamble... instead they played it safe.

Kind of early. More a thread about who has surprised/disappointed so far.

But I will add that most people and most GMs probably would have had Perry Jones and Jared Sullinger in the lottery if not for injuries.

Wait til teams have game plans & scouting reports being used on these guys. You better believe teams will be using the HACK-A-DRUMMOND, he won't be very useful in late game situations if he doesn't improve his FT shooting.

Late in games he can have a seat until he gets better at that. For now 3 quarters of rebounds and dunks can be enough lol. But damn you are right about his FTs... I saw him miss the net entirely in summer league lol. He has some work to be done, but then again so does every other player in the league.

Ross doesn't have anything special in him. He'll be a solid player, but he's probably destined to be a good starter at best. Think Dorrell Wright/Jason Richardson type of player.

At least Drummond is a high risk, high reward type guy. Bargnani, as much as I love him, should get traded. Even then, Jonas, Bargnani, Drummond and Amir would be solid up front for the next couple of years before you move Bargnani and Amir.

I can't really trust how rookies perform in Preseason as they really aren't facing true NBA defenses yet. Starters aren't playing normal minutes and you still have scrubs trying to be the 15th man on certain teams.

Do you mean Jason Richardson now type player? Or prime Jason Richardson because there's a huge difference between them and Dorrel Wright isn't even close to as good a J-Rich prime. But I do agree I went ape **** when they didn't draft Drummond.
