Former stars like Starbury, T-mac and Agent zero are looking for employment outside of the NBA can a team composed of former stars compete in the NBA? I don't mean Bobcats compete I mean playoffs compete and maybe a title run.

Are we talking like Free Agent former stars, or any former in general?

Well try to keep it with the players out of the league and in other countries but players like Michael Redd can be used.

Nah, it'd be a fun team, but there's no way they could compete with the good teams in the league today.

I'd definitely love to see a team with AI, TMac, Arenas, etc though.

AI TMAC and Arenas will be fighting over shot attempts.

No chance they could go against LA, the Heat, or the even the Bobcats for that matter, but just for fun...
Iverson
Arenas
McGrady
????
Yao

Couldn't think of any retired PF's that might could still play that were once superstars. Camby & Rasheed Wallace came to mind... but they both are still in the NBA.

I would love to see a team like that, but they would not make the playoffs. There is a reason they are not in the nba.

They're 'former' all stars for a reason

No chance with the guys you've already started listing. They are all pretty much ball hogging scorers too so I doubt that they would have been that great when they were all in their prime.

You listed a bunch of ball dominant players who would have no chemistry whatsoever.... so I say no.... they could not compete in the NBA.

even the magic/bobcats would beat them.

Iverson/Marbury
Redd
T-Mac
McDysse
Shaq

I don't know... they'd need a better bench because none of them would be able to play a lot of minutes.

I'd bet Mutombo could still play.

No way they would have a chance. Simple logic should tell you that. When someone isn't in the league, that means even the very worst teams didn't think that player was qualified anymore. And that's with a past reputation of stardom.

Not anymore

francis
Iverson
Tmac
Webber
Shaq

Cassell
Redd
Mashburn
Malone
Wallce

Stockton as 11th man (team would need a great passer even if he only got 8 to 10 minutes) and at 50 i doubt he would get to much more than that
Yao as 12th man
this would be much easyer if roy didnt just come back LOL
but for ***** and Giggles id throw jordan in as a reserve for Redd i hear hes still lighting up bobcats players so mabye he could take over redds spot in the rotaion and be somewhat helpfull
and i guess the last 2 roster fillers would have to go to
mutombo and Kemp
im sure deke could atleast defend the post at a semi respectable level if Yao proves to be to hurt to play
and anything at all u can get from kemp would be a plus but im sure he would just ride the pine
