View Full Version : Jeff Van Gundy: NBA blocked brother Stan from ESPN job

10-22-2012, 12:36 PM
Jeff VanGundy, ESPN/ABC's lead NBA game analyst, suggests his brother Stan's failure to land a studio analyst role at ESPN raises big questions about whether ESPN's NBA coverage can be reasonably independent.

Jeff, who hadn't previously spoken publicly on the issue until an interview with USA TODAY Sports, says his brother "had a basic agreement" to become an ESPN/ABC analyst in the marquee studio shows that wrap around game coverage: "And then something changed. There's certainly circumstantial evidence that something from the outside -- presumably the NBA -- changed (ESPN's) thinking. ... I was happy when they came to an agreement and shocked when they pulled their offer."

Stern is the leader of the NWO

Stern always gets what he wants he fixes games lotteries and now pre games show. There is no stop to david stern once he is gone and adam silver takes over the nba will be in much better hands. David stern did all he could for the nba already and now he is ruining the product since 01/02

Stern should not mess with another mans job/money thats disrespectful....sucks for us fans to because SVG and bill simmons seems 1000000x more entertaining and truthful than barry n broussard

The only thing that is transparent about the NBA is Stern's agenda when it comes to muzzling the media covering the NBA...
