Not serious from sounds of it, but not a good sign either

Oh, please donít let this be serious.

Golden State guard Stephen Curry left during the second quarter of Friday nightís preseason game against Portland when he rolled and sprained his surgically repaired right ankle. The ankle he has had multiple surgeries on, the one that limited him to 26 games last season.

We donít have a lot of details but the early signs are positive. The Warriors did say he could have returned but is being kept out of the game for precautionary reasons. They said no MRI is scheduled. All good news.

But this still is a little unsettling. Curry has looked fantastic in the preseason for Golden State and if they are going to make a run to the playoffs they are going to need him and Andrew Bogut (who may not be ready to go opening night) for 70 games each.

Wesley Matthews stepped on it. He will be fine for the start of the season. Hopefully nothing else comes up.

Damn this sucks, hopefully he can bounce back quickly. Hopefully this doesn't become an issue he's dealing with throughout his career.

Feel bad for a millionaire?

Just kidding, but on a serious note, nobody should be surprised. Not once in my mind have I expected Curry or Bogut to play 75% of the games.

Sucks, guy is talented but has glass ankles. Hope he can play a full season and prove me wrong but I don't see him staying healthy :sigh:

He should just take a full season off.

Bogut will be fine, Curry is the one that I am worried about.

Might always be damaged goods. Might as well trade him for a future first.

I am not sure the people in this thread is ankle was stepped on. He will be fine for the regular season. This injury did not occur from being injury prone.

He needs to get taped better and better ankle support.

im just worried about the whole year, even if he's ready. it's just not a good sign if hes already twisted his surgically repaired ankle and the season hasn't even started yet.

why would you choose them all????

woof,good luck with that

roy and rubio were late late (round 10+) draft picks, at the time dirk wasn't guaranteed to have surgery, and curry was looking good.

bynum is a gamble, knew that going in.

I really hope he and Bogut can stay healthy. They both are so talented and fit together so well. I'd really love to see the Warriors and Timberwolves become the new elite teams of the West. I'm really excited to see this starting 5:

Curry-Klay-Barnes-Lee-Bogut

Lot of firepower with Bogut to protect the rim.

I had him as a huge steal in a potential fantasy roster, but he's just too much of a risk.

Bad break for curry. Dudes ankles must be held together with really thin rubber bands.

It's annoying that everyone is giving Curry flak for getting his ankle stepped on. He can play opening day and this wasn't him rolling it, this was literally someone stepping on it.
