Who has the biggest chance to win it over Davis?

Bradley Beal is a solid player with the worth ethic to become great, it'll be nice to see him improve throughout the course of the season, and years to come.

Beal as he will get alot of chances in Washington and Drummond with pt, based on some solid games in the preseason.

I think this draft class will be the most unpredictable in terms of the ROY, there EASILY could be at least 10-12 guys other than Davis who could legit win it. However, I think Lillard, Drummond, Beal, Robinson, MKG, and Barnes are the top dogs in contention.

He won't get enough minutes playing behind Derozan. Valanciunas has a much better chance then Ross.

Its gotta be a scorer , Im goin with Beal. Davis and J-Val are gonna be amazin but theyll take more time to make impacts

Lillard has my vote based on the formula of: talent + playing time + touches - competition at position = V(ote)

As the primary ball handler, he controls his own destiny.

I think it will be Lillard or Beal. To win Roy you have to be flashy and score points which both will have a good chance to do.

I think Anthony Davis will run away with it. That US Olympic experience and the team is basically his already with great complimentary pieces in Gordon, Anderson, Lopez, etc.

Beal, Drummond, or Valanciunas.... or we could get the shock of the year and Waiters could over achieve next to Irving lol. My best guess would really be Beal (The Wizards could be a pretty decent team this year after their moves) but I really hope and pray that it's Drummond.

Either way it goes, I think there is a lot of really great young talent to watch and its going to be a fun season watching them develop.

Beal or Waiters or Ross hopefully, there on my bench in fantasy lol.

Frank is going to make him keep proving himself to get the most out of him, so he wont start right away, but he will sometime this season. But he scored 19 points the other day off of the bench and like 9 rebounds. (i dont know the exact stats, but it was somewhere around that) If he can play that well, even off the bench he will get some attention. I just keep thinking about Monroe at PF and Drummond at C and how epic that could one day be. :D

Frank's an idiot if he doesn't start from day 1.

It takes Maxiell all game to give the same production Drummond does in 15 minutes.

I think Frank knows that too, but he is the kind of guy who will let the team suffer for a few games if it means it will push Drummond's development further. I think he is afraid of those "no motor" rumors and doesn't want to hand Drummond the starting spot yet, even if he earned it.

I'm pretty sure Frank thinks he can get him to play even harder. I kind of like his message to Andre..."yeah you have did pretty good, but not good enough yet"... I can see that pushing him. As much as I hate thinking of Max starting at the beginning of the season, I trust Frank so I'm going to keep my *****ing to a minimum. However, if we are getting pummeled or if more then 5 games pass without Drummond getting more minutes, thats when I will start W-T-F-ING. I just want this season to be the one where we really step forward.

M.K.G. is going to be the best player from this class. And he will run away with R.O.Y. Mark it down.

If we ran out this lineup -

Knight
Stuckey
Singler
Monroe
Drummond

I'd buy season tickets.

Prince and Maxiell are what makes the Pistons a slow, boring team. Without them in the starting lineup, we'd take our lumps - but man would we be fun to watch (even for casual B-ball fans).

Prince's 14 second dribble back down ******** is so lame. He also costs Knight at least 3 assists a game.

Middleton might be a sleeper candidate as well. Detroit is good at drafting 2nd rounders. Singler or Middleton all day over Prince.

Will never happen though. At least Drummond over Maxiell might.

Seriously, you guys are like Net fans with this Drummond talk. We can know he's good without telling people who don't give a damn about it every other day. Just let Drummond speak for himself on the court.

Anyway, Lillard most definitely.

John Jenkins as a dark horse. (figured i'd use a bit of homerism, since it is being used heavily in this thread already.) He is the best shooter hands down in the class. I think MKG has a good chance though, he's real good all around.

Harison Barnes is my pick, i feel like hes gonna be really good for some reason. He's got the body to be great, although he is young so consistency may be a problem early on in his career.

Well this thread asks who we think the rookie of the year should be. So maybe next time I wont tell you who I want to give my vote for I will just tell you to turn on the tv to watch?

I thought the point of the forum was for discussing this? The Drummond hate is cracking me up and I don't really understand that. To each his own I guess...

As a Warrior fan, i gotta say I don't think Barnes will win ROY just because the Warriors will most likely be in playoff contention and he won't have as much freedom. Especially when they have other good wings like Thompson and Rush.

But I still think his shot is perfect and he has solid fundamentals. If he can be more aggressive driving it to the basket more and also finding his teammates then he will be a top 5 small forward in a few years.

Obviously Anthony Davis, but Lillard has a good chance with his role in Portland and the talent around him; MKG also has a good shot with the amount of playing time he'll receive in Charlotte.

I don't hate Drummond, I just don't want the rest of the NBA forum to hate Drummond. I believe Drummond will show what he is worth on his own similar to Monroe.
