Maybe he'll be able to hook some of them up with roids.

I was hoping I could be the 2nd post in this thread so I could say "roids post coming in 3...2...1..."

You guys are too predictable.

but he doesn't know anything about pitching, which is their biggest problem, that's why they should hire a catcher, or mike maddox

I really don't know how he'd do. I mean, he was a very good player. Sometimes it's the bench players and catchers who turn out to be the best managers. I think names like Alex Cora will pop up in the near future.

Can't believe he's still associated with MLB.

It's kind of sad seeing a franchise go down the toilet but since they are in the same division as my Giants, flush em

The Giambino?? Good for him. I never took him as a guy who would want to become an MLB manager though.

He was my favorite player in Oakland, and was so excited when he came to the Yanks.

Really hope he gets it.

what team would want a admitted cheater and roid user to be a face of their franchise? it'sbeyond pathetic

Never thought of Giambi as the managerial type. With so many better available managers out there I can't see why Colorado would be interested in him to be their manager.

Yeah they should only hire the secret ones.

Actually would be interested in how it would go if he did manage...Came up in an organization that was at the forefront of modern baseball, epitomized the approach as a hitter (tons of walks, tons of doubles, tons of HR power, did not strike out, hit for average - thats how you draw them up), went to the biggest organization in American sport, and then carved a role as a bit player for a decent team in his late career....From what Ive heard hes no dummy either.

I think he generates skepticism partially because hes a big muscle bound guy who took steroids and you know....Those guys cant be smart.

All that said, this is probably a courtesy interview to a veteran who is new to retirement and wants to get into coaching.
