Why in the world no one signs Michael Redd? The guy played realy well last year!

There is stil 4 solid free agents on the table L.Barbosa, M.Pietrus, K.Martin and M.Redd.

Pietrus and Martin should be solid addititons to contenders but either one is not willing to accept vet min.

But what about Michael Redd? Haven't heard that dude is not willing to take veterans minimum...

For vet min or even little bit above that dude should be awsome for many many teams. At this point of their career dude is left handed Ray Allen.
Scored 19,5ppg per 36 minute and 18,5 in 3 games as a starter. I have always liked his game and he showed in Pheonix last year that his healthy and can play! 8.2 ppg in limited minutes is solid.

There are many teams that should be intrested in him.

Clippers - they wanted Allen, but didn't get him. he would be perfect fit to spread the floor with CP3 on the floor.
Knicks - As long as Iman is out, they have a deep hole at 2 spot imo. Redd should fit very nicley to that team as a sopt up shooter.
Celtics - There should be always room for another veteran shooter in boston...
Lakers - They signed Jodie Meeks??? Not a good aditsion if you wanna win a championship... As lakers have realy bad bench i think they realy need to sign one of those guys and i think Pietrus or Redd or bought of them should be great fit.
Suns - Why not stay in Pheonix... Suns have nice team imo, just lacks talent in shooting guard spot after they failed to bring Eric Gordon around.

well... there is others like Hawks,Mavs etc.
What you think, why isn't Redd still found a spot in any roster?

No idea. Someone posted in the Twolves forum that we wanted him, but it didn't work out. Maybe no one can offer him the role he wants? What could he want at this point of his career anyway?

Because he shot 32% from 3 last year. His one superior NBA skill was shooting the long ball, and he can't do that anymore. At this point, I'd rather have an undrafted rookie or D-Leaguer at the end of my bench, because 1) they'd be cheaper, and 2) they might improve. Not much chance of Redd improving on last year.

Because he isnt good, people look to much at what players used to be. Right now he is equal to a d leaguer

Show me one D-leauger or undrafted rookie who scored more then 8.3ppg in 15mpg...
If Rasheed found his way back to the league then it's crime that Redd or even T-mac are thrown out of the league.

That's right... people look to much what player once did... if hes not that good anymore dosen't mean hes trash... T-mac played good for Hawks in play offs but coz hes T-mac, once a best scorer in the league people like to think those guys are done even they can be solid veterans off the bench. Thats the reason why Sacramento Kings sucks and will suck... they have nice young guys, but you need veteran players!!!!'

Michael Redd can still ball!

Wolves offered him a training camp invite, which he reportedly came close to accepting, but then declined. He may not realize himself that he is not what he once was, or at least doesnt realize that he has fallen so low...or, though that he could have played the Wolves for more, and got burned by it.

Most of that 15 min was when Suns won or lost by 20 in the 4th. I am right, I dont even have to say anything look at the team he is on. Thats right none because nobody wants him.

He was horrible at the ONLY thing he's good at. He shot 40% from the field and 32% from 3. He has major injury issues as well. You might as well give a young player the 15th spot on the roster over Redd.

He is old/bad is not a good argument. The guy can still shoot, he can be used as a spot up shooter. If Rashard Lewis gets signed, then Michael Redd definitely deserves to be signed.

he was offered a minimum deal to join the Wolves. He obviously thinks he is worth more.

exactly!

but Rashard Lewis is 6'10" with range. He can still post up players and can play when he's not injured.

Why in the world are people so oblivious to the fact that talents are not the only variable in place when it comes to signing NBA players?

a. money
b. agent
c. guaranteed money
d. length of deal
e. locker room issue
f. playing time
g. talents
h. age
i. leadership

thats just a fraction of what they look at before any player is signed or drafted, unless its a mega star in the draft or free agency.
Redd cannot carry a team, so obviously if he hasnt found a place yet, one of those options weren't met.

all players I wished the Lakers would look at...kind of surprised, maybe it's a money issue, no player on this list is worth more than 3 million, and most the vet min, but egos and personnel value can play a factor for sure.

idk man, because his defense is so suspect.
he hasnt found his rhythm yet this offseason, and he gets exposed a lot by pfs.

hopefully he'll improve.. but idk lol

I'd take him over Joe Johnson.

I was a huge fan of Redd's before the injury. He was a great all-around player, and he always showed up against James... he could pull out a triple-double almost any night... and while his FG% was low, it was becausehe took a lot of threes, but some seasons he was shooting over 40% from behind the arc.

Last season, he barely shot over 30% from behind the arc, and he was struggling to get minutes on a lottery team. He show just isn't there and his injuries have slowed down his all-around game. He sadly is just not the player he was.

I always wanted to see him teamed up with James, I thought the pair of them could have done something really special, but... c'est la vie.

If people don't want to pick up McGrady, I doubt they will want to pick up Redd, but I would love to see this guy come back and play at his former level of play.

Most guys with talent like him won't accept the vets minimum. But, these teams see him as a guy with a serious injury history, he's not that young anymore so there's no upside, and he's a specialist too. So it's going to be hard to get more than the min for him right now.
