we usally only see this in LCS, but i guess thats the new effects of the new playoff format.

I think it's pretty neat. It adds a lot more excitement, in my opinion.

I would agree. I never really understood why there were rules in place to avoid those matchups in the divisional series.

I guess it's because they consider the Wild Card Game as the first round of the playoffs, and in that round there could be a 2nd and 3rd place team from the same division playing in that, so why restrict teams from the same division from playing in the Division Series?

It's kind of incredible to think if they never had the rule before---more than likely there would be a lot of different World Series teams/winners over the last 17 years.

This October tournament is just a crapshoot.

i always though that was a stupid rule that division rivals couldnt play in the LDS. still dont like the second wild card, but this is some good that came from it
