A top 15, top 20, top 30 center?

What does he have to do to crack any list? Obviously winning helps but Im thinking more in terms of years served and level of play.

Lets say he turns Philly into a perennial playoff team (never winning it all) but stays at his current level for another 8 years, injury free.

So under this hypothetical, Bynum would have never missed the playoffs in his career, has 2 titles (one in decent fashion, the other playing through injury), 9All-Star births, 9 All-NBA 2nd teams, a solid 19-13 career average with great paint protection and soft perimeter defense.

To give you a glimpse of career totals, assuming he were to play at least 70 games a year for 8 years, at 19PPG he would end up with a career total of 15,237 PTS. Do the same for rebounds at 12 Per Game and you get 6720.

Those scores rank 122 and 116 in NBA history. Thats pretty much in the company of a Jermaine O'Neal type right now.

So obviously hes not cutting the top-10 without RAPID improvement but is Top-20 out of the question?

Injured

Just playing. I see him as being a top 15 Center. If he can seriously contend out there in the east (Which isnt a stretch) then i can see top 15. The only thing holding him back is his lack motivation

If he manages to stay healthy for the rest of his career ill say a top 10 center of all time!
KAJ,Bill Russell,Shaq,Wilt,Hakeem,Ewing,Robinson,Dwight etc. so ok maybe not top 10 more like in the 10-13 range

I think the Lakers made a big mistake trading Bynum for Howard...IMO, Bynum is the better player. Howard can be great when happy but if he is unhappy, the Lakers are doomed. He always wants to be treated like a princess.

It goes the same both ways though. Bynum can be a complete beast (see game 1 vs Denver last year),but when he is unhappy about playing time, shots, touches, etc... He doesnt bother playing defense nor listens to the coach. At least Dwight knows he's with the Lakers to play Defense.
He is still young and still has a lot of upside, hopefully he stays happy in Philly.

Lol wrong, Dwight night in and night out always gives you 100% on the court Bynum only gives you 100% when he wants to so every other game! Dnewguy at it again smh

Well... if he doesn't have anymore injuries, then top twenty perhaps... certainly top 30. Top 15, not a chance, not unless he just becomes unreal all of a sudden. I mean, I have a hard time putting Howard in the top 15.
