Pick one seasons draft class to build a team. Which season do you think is best?

I'll go with 84:

Stockton/Humphries
Robertson/Flemming (have to move Robertson and Flemming to SG)
Jordan (no really good SF in the draft, so I'm moving Jordan)/Campbell
Barkley/Kevin Willis/Thorpe
Hakeem/Perkins/Cage

What year you got?

This is too easy. It's 1984 with 2003 a decent (but not that close) second place. You should have limited the parameters a bit and said something like last 30 years excluding 1984 and 2003.

I can't tell if you guys are being serious or not. You'd rather have this roster over one with MJ, Hakeem, Barkley and Stockton? Or Lebron, Wade, Bosh and Melo?

I mean.... Michael Beasley is in the starting freaking lineup!!!

Well I was trying a different lineup than go the easy route and say MJ and company game over.

56 would have been pretty good:

PG: K.C. Jones
SG: Sam Jones
SF: Elgin Baylor
PF: Tom Heinsohn
C: Bill Russell

The funny thing about this draft is other than Elgin Baylor, all those players ended up on the Celtics...

JasonJohnHorn

62 would have had a good starting line-up too:

PG: John Havlicek (had to move Hondo to PG-no good PGs in this draft, but he did enough ball handling toward the end of his career that he can handle that)
SG: Chet Walker/Terry Dischinger
SF: Dave DeBusschere
PF: Jerry Lucas/Len Chappell
C:Zelmo Beaty (the original Big Z)

First off, Danilo Galinari is better than Michael Beasley and should be the starting small forward on that roster. Second, on any given day, a roster like that of 2008 or 2003 could beat Team Jordan. It's not written in scripture that all those stars on the same team will equal a win.

Hakeem would demolish Hibbert and whose guarding Jordan?

The only team that could compete with 1984 would be the 2003 draft class and that would still be a tough task.

No. No they wouldn't. Hakeem would absolutely destroy Hibbert over a seven game series and there isn't anyone on that roster capable of guarding Michael Jordan. What are you going to do? Put Eric Gordon or Gallo on him for 30+ minutes a night? That starting five would just completely dominate your starting five.

Im glad somebody else sees it. They aren't winning a 7 game series against '84. But they could push it to 6, 7 if everything goes right.

2004:

D Harris/ J Nelson
A Iguodala/ K Martin
L Deng/ T Ariza
J Smith/ A Varejao
D Howard/ A Jefferson

They may not the best but 3 solid all stars in Iggy Deng and Smith a superstar in Dwight
and a couple of 1 time allstar PG in Harris and nelson. And also a few starting quality starter Martin, Ariza, Varejao and other who i haven't used ( Hump, JR, Tony Allen etc)
