Seems like a little much.

But it's good that they are.

All parks should attempt to be as neutral as possible.

Saw today that they haven't had a 20 HR hitter since 2009

So will this make their park pretty much neutral?

this should help montero and smoak out a lot!.. and if you get those two guys going that could be a scary 4,5 for a long time

Thats not a problem with the dimensions.

Kyle Seager actually just hit his 20th tonight and Smoak and Saunders both have 19. They could hit one more dinger.

Great for the hitters but king Felix is gonna be pissed.

How much will this actually effect HR totals? How much did it effect did it have at Citi Field this year?

Jason Vargas is the one who should be pissed

No. He probably wanted it. He isn't a Safeco mirage.

It's not like its gonna make it Yankee stadium for god sake. It'll still be a pitchers park.

I don't see the point in it except to maybe attract some potential free agents.

They have to do this, it's ridiculous how big they made that field. Can't even enjoy watching games played there, it kills their own hitters confidence and i know the fans hate it since I talk to many of them.

Next is going to be Marlins Park, that park is ****ing huge.

I'd love to snag one of Seager or Saunders and before the Mariners see what they could in a neutral park.

You'd think so but at the same time, how many free agents flock to Texas,Denver etc. I think ballpark dimensions sway pitchers much more than hitters when signing somewhere.

Well I'm sure we can all agree Yankee Stadium's right-centerfield wall is a complete joke.

Yep. They struck out on Fielder. He basically shot them down before they even made and offer. Little did he know, the park was built for Griffey and it would have helped him as opposed to hindered.

Great news. I love Safeco as a place, but the poor hitting was too much. Now would be a great time to pick up Montero, thats for sure.

Lets remember the Mets moved in their fences too and not much has changed it seems, but 17 feet is major.
