Cruz batting 2nd? I won't believe it until I see it. Donny has shown that he will not make logical moves like this.

Let's Go Dodgers and Nats! And to a lesser extent...Braves!

No, they started everyone...Edwin Jackson loaded the bases in the first with no outs, then proceeded to walk guys and give up hits. E-Jack gave up 9 runs in the first 2 innings.

This just means that they will have to play their starters the rest of the series. Lets hope they can steal 1-2.

but it's Blanton, the guy who gives up the most homers in the league. You can't help but wonder how many he's going to give up every game he pitches.

Beckett

Well, honestly if we can, I would like to see Beckett or Capuano. Capuano has done well vs. the Braves. I know realistically there is no chance Kershaw will pitch that game but if either of those two pitch it, at least we will have a fighting chance. I dont expect them to give up a crapload of runs but I do expect them to give up runs. A lot of what happens will rely on our offense. I just hope we stay hot for the next 20+ games or so if it gets that far. lol lol.

Watching the game on the Cards network, and the announcers are talking like its already over even though they are losing 4-0. "Yeah when we play the Braves in the 1 game playoff, if we win that then the next series will be 2-3. We might have an advantage in that one ..."

I mean its still a long shot, but dang these guys are not only talking about having the wild card a lock but also the 1 game playoff. Lol, I love watching the games on biased networks.

It has to be Beckett. If we face the Braves we are likely going to face Medlen. beckett has been a clutch pitcher his entire career and pitched much better than Capuano since coming over. We can't afford to give up more than 2 runs with how well Medlen is pitching and how stacked the Braves pen is.

Wow, just checked Gameday and seen Stl losing by 4. Glad to see the door still hasn't shut on our season. If by some miraculous turn of events we make it into the playoffs, our story would be right up there with the Tampa Bay Ray's story last year!

You think thats bad you should listen to the Braves announcer on radio. O man he is sooo dull when it comes to hits or hrs for the other team but when its the Braves doing the scoring you would think the man just saw Jesus in real life.

I agree. Beckett has been a clutch player all his career. If we have indeed finally figured out our hitting problems and more will be told this game and the rest of the season, we could be a very dangerous team to play against in the playoffs. There is so much potential on this team. I just hope we finally have realized it and the stars align for us to make it to the playoffs. A fan can dream cant he/she?
