So is it the ultimate sign of clutchness or is it a sign that you rely on winning by the skins of your teeth.

Good teams find ways to win when they need to, if you win 4 game 7's, I don't see how you can view that as luck.

Doesn't have much to do with clutchness, just good team fortune.

Are we talking about a team as a whole or an individual player?

Mental toughness for sure.
But I'd say strength. You came through each time. You won when it mattered most.
And apprently you beat teams that didn't go through the same thing.

Individually or in a team concept, I don't think it's really sign of either, but if I had to choose one it'd be a sign of strength considering the stakes. But in all honestly, it means little to nothing how you go about winning it all. Survive and advance, there are no style points.

IMO, strength. No way a team is going to win 4 - 7 game series by luck.

It hurts more when it is a close series.

Didn't the Celtics go through a few games 7's during their title run? My memory is failing me right now.

F that. Weakness. Put inferior teams away. The GOAT teams didn't crawl their way through the playoffs.

Ask players that dont even have rings. Plus i guess it depends on your seed. For a no 1 seed not so much. A 4 seed or lower its whatever.

Did JB write a thread-making book that you picked up and read Chronz?

If the Spurs or Lakers had gone to 7 games against NJ.... then I would say it was a sign of weakness, but when you see the Pistons and the Spurs, two champions, duke it out in a 7 game series, or the Lakers and the Celtics push it to seven games, it's because both teams are just that good and neither one is willing to give up.

The Lakers this year, no disrespect meant to Denver, should have had that series wrapped up in 5 or maybe 6 games.

But, I think it depends on the situation.

it is weakness, good teams shouldn't lose 3 games to 1 team. i'm sure some players grow an adaptation to game 7s which is a slight advantage and tips the scale a smidge

Depends on the leagues talent. This year it be weakness in the past it might have been strength.

Depends on how the series played out. If you were up 3 games to 0 and then lost 3 in a row and won the last. I would say thats a sign of weakness. If you're the number 1 seed and they're the 8th, thats a bad sign. So it depends on the strength of the teams, and their projected outcomes. But I think a team that wins the biggest games is a great team.

Regular season is the best way to determine the best team. Last year it was the Bulls with the best record and best point differential.

More fun way to determine the best team is the playoffs.

When evaluating though, you use the largest sample size.

Weakness. Elite teams should be able to put opponents away in less than 7 games. Now, tougher opponents might make that difficult, but I don't see how 4 straight game 7's can indicate strength. Regardless of outcome, it should never get to that point.
