We should be able to pull this win out. I'm predicting a 21-10 Seahawks victory. St. Louis is an underrated team, but I don't think they will be able to handle our defense. Sam Bradford is the best qb in the division. Their o-line is shaky, and our defense is pretty darn good. Lynch should have no problem rushing for 100 yards. They are 21st in rushing team defense. I'm hoping we let Wilson take a few more chances down the field too.

Is that a subtle joke in placing Golden Tate's picture as our leader in interceptions?

jej

I think Bradford is a little overrated, same with Jackson. He is a old.

There offense blows pretty bad. Receivers are worse than ours.

While their D is pretty solid, it's no where near ours.

Colin Cowherd wa defending us on SN, kinda. He acted like the call wasn't a big deal, and was defending Russ a little. He also said you could argue that SF us and AZ are top 3 defenses.

I think we should win this, but I think the days of them being the Lambs might be behind them. Fisher has them playing hard, and they are getting better. the NFC West is going to be a killer division soon.

I am loving Russell Wilson's lack of turnovers. If the Seahawks in general, and he in particular, hold that number down, we have a chance to win each week. That goes double for this week.

Doesn't Jackson have a strained groin?

If we get pressure, we win by 13+... If we can't get to Bradford I'm thinking it's a one score game.

I said before the Green Bay game it was Bruce Irvin's job to step and take control. Clemons had more sacks, but Irvin definitely made me look good. This game I'm going to put some pressure on Baldwin/Wilson. We need these 2 guys on the same page so we can keep them chains moving. GO HAWKS.

Once Irvin showed the ability to get to the passer they probably shifted there focus to Irvin he was abusing Bulaga leaving Clemons 1 on 1.

Doug Baldwin was working out a little bit in practice today, so that's a good sign to hear. Two competent defenses are gonna be squaring off and I can't wait. I say we win by +14-20 with our offense finally clicking and coming alive. Hawks got this one.

It made me tear up a bit when they started doubling him. That's when I knew he was everything I hoped he would be strength wise. That bull rush was nasty, then he set him up perfectly for that inside move

It's a combination of things," Mebane said. "We've been playing with each other for a couple of years. We all understand what needs to be done. We're communicating well, better than we have. We're executing better. We're ready to take it to another level."

The anticipation of taking it to the next level has been ratcheted up by the circumstances of Monday's Hail Mary controversy, which ironically, felt like somewhat of a snub to the victors.

"We're on a mission," Browner said. "Next is St. Louis. We're going to try and show them how good we are."

Looks like our boys are tired of hearing about all the controversy too.

20-6 Hawks

Keys to the game

1. Offensive line continues the awesome performance it had in the last game. Russell Wilson reviews tape from last week, and get's better at realizing when his team is picking up blitzes. Stays in the pocket more.

2. Stephen Jackson MUST be stopped.

3. Marshawn see's skittles all game. 2 TD's for Marshawn.

@Seahawks
Hawkville: Carroll would rather protect the ball than gain the yards, addressing Seahawks 32nd-ranked offense. http://shwks.com/8sjl

I'm not sure what the deal is with the conservative attitude when we have such an athletic team but he'd rather us scoring low and grinding it out. I expect more run, run, pass combinations this game.

expecting a low scoring game so if we win 17-10,10-7 something like that Caroll isn't going to open up the book for Wilson he is a defensive minded coach he will stick with the run until we have to throw.

To those who want Flynn because Wilson isn't putting up 200+ yards a game Caroll doesn't want that otherwise Wilson would be throwing 40 times a game.

Going in to year two though i hope Caroll starts opening up the play book for him because i think you need to show the ability to strike on deep throws.

Don't get why Pete is trying to be all conservative now. Dude is nuts most if the time.

Marshawn needs to be our #1 option, but they are just gonna keep stacking the box. At least let Wilson throw it 25 times

Anointing Sherman #1 in the league is faaaar too premature.

But honestly, at the rate he's improved since being thrust into a starting role last year, it's not too far fetched to say that he could end up being a top 5-10 CB by the end of this season.

He was only thrown at twice in the Cowboys game and i didn't hear a peep out of him in the Packers game and he was probably on Nelson the Packers #1 WR.

You could also give it to Cortland Finnegan as well i am trying to think of other #1 lock down CB's besides Revis.

McCoy is questionable for the game. Wilson has had chemistry with him this season and pre-season. I guess Moore gets more playing time but can not block nearly as well as MCCoy.

Carpenter also back for the game, going to play left guard. Moffit is out with an injury.

Even though McCoy made dumb penalties that sucks.

Good Article on Lynch:

"I didn't 'get paid,' " he said, his voice rising. "Getting paid what? No. I don't look at it that way. I love to play football, and I have an opportunity here to do something special.
"My main goal wasn't to get paid. My main goal was to win a Super Bowl. I've been in the league six years, and I've had a losing season every year I've played. I don't really like to lose. Right now, this is an opportunity where something could change for me. So getting paid ain't nothing. I wanna get a Super Bowl. Then we'll talk."

Did you not read my post? I said with Revis being injured and i would definitley take Sherman over Cromartie and Asomough he isn't the same CB he was when he was with the Raiders he gets burned now a days.

Also if Sherman keeps up his play all season i absoloutley take him over all of those guys except Revis and here is why Sherman is 6'3-6'4 if his height doesn't affect his play he can take on guys like Calvin Johnson and Fitz who are giants.

Exactly, he has been good in 19 games. Those other guys have been just as good or better in more time. If you surveyed 100 non Hawk fans, i bet very few would have Sherm in the top 8, and probably none at 1.

I like how when Tarvaris doesn't pass well it's lack of talent and when Russell Wilson doesn't pass well it's the coaches fault. Stop making excuses for him. He needs to get better. If you don't think so then watch the game again. It's not all the coaches fault. Some of it has to do with having an inexperienced QB learning a new system. I swear 60% of this forum needs to get a reality check and get off of Wilson's jock.

Of course he needs to get better... I never said I think he is great as is. Wilson and the coaches need to prove we can throw the ball. It's on both of them. The coaches have to loosen the leash on him and Wilson has to capitalize.

Ok so then who do you want to blame? Because Caroll has even come out and said he is putting the lid on the offense and won't open it until he has to.

That is not just him defending his QB either he is a defensive minded coach he doesn't want his QB putting up 300+ yards unless he has to.

Also have to remember we don't have the weapons to go vertical either we got Sidney Rice and Tate if he can learn to run the right routes.

Yea, Tate came up with the game winning catch which i give him credit for but he also knocked a ball down that was meant for Sidney Rice.

All that matters to me is the W i don't care how boring it is.

ztilzer31
09-29-2012, 10:13 PM
All I want is a W, but in the last game there were many points when he bailed on the pocket during well blocked plays. I understand that week one people were getting in every play, but our line was picking up blitzes, while Russell bailed in week 3. I don't care how fast he is, he needs to stay in the pocket. He's not invincible, and he's played far from perfect in his first 3 games. Looked at what guys like RGIII have done. His offense has probably less options than us. Of course I'm comparing someone who was drafted in the 3rd round to a guys who was the second overall pick, but he still runs a pretty basic offense, and makes plays.

I haven't yet seen that "edge" that Russell Wilson brings. I still believe he can be a good starter in the league for awhile, but he's definitely not anywhere near the league of Luck or RG3 yet, and it's very apparent.

ztilzer31
09-29-2012, 10:22 PM
It's just irritating that everyone was talking about how Russell Wilson clearly "won" the QB competition, and everyone is ignoring the fact he's playing subpar. He looks like a rookie out there. Not in composure, or decision making, but in what he can do with the football. He constantly looks lost, and rarely moves away from his first 2 targets. He looks deep, check down, and run. So far he's been Tarvaris Jackson with less INT's, and more incompletions.

NateyB24
09-29-2012, 10:57 PM
True but our WR's aren't really getting good separation which is why it's hard for me to critique him and the play calling is so obvious and conservative.

I have faith in him with those late come backs though Jackson could never lead us back to win a game Wilson has done it twice now one time he drove all the way down and failed the 2nd one he had a controversial come back.

Here you go again man. The only time you come in here is to say how much you hate our qb, be a fan and root for the guys we got. If Flynn was starting we'd be wanting him to do well too. Even when we provide evidence you ignore it. Oh and stop copying what Norm has been saying about Russell, its getting old.

I would want Flynn to do well but i actually think he would do worse Wilson's feet are saving him and this offensive line.

Nice sig by the way Wilson looks high lol.

Yea your right he is saving alot of our plays instead of getting sacks, he just has to learn how to evade then still look 4 receivers. He only has been sacked three times all year because of those quick feet. I don't mean to be so hard on that guy it just seems like he's wanting us to fail just to say I told you so. I will admit that Flynn probably sees the field better but doesn't have enough skill to compete for the position. We gotta hope for all the breaks we can get with our tough schedule coming up.

The sig is from that hail mary-ception. I think that was Russ's look like yea I just saved tha game lol.

He is a rookie... and as long as his Composure and Decision making are sound, and above his years that's what we are asking from him.

Remember Flynn isn't a Seasoned Vet, in fact, Russell Wilson has offically started more games than Matt Flynn. We would be asking the very same of Flynn, no turnovers and don't lose the game.

So far Wilson has given the team a chance to win 3 of out 3 games, if not for 3 drops at the end of Wilsons FIRST career NFL game he would have won, vs a very good defense, that Tom Brady(in NE) nor Mike Vick won against. And he led us to 2 straight wins at home just what we asked of him. I think there's a good agruement that with Flynn we would still be 2-1 at best. I didn't have us winning our first 3 games, I thought we'd drop one for sure, although I thought it would be GB, but that's neither here nor there.

Vick sucks, but I see your point. I'm not making the argument for Flynn I'm just tired of people ignoring the poor QB play, and acting like Wilson has just done amazing. Sure he's made good decisions, but he doesn't throw down the middle of the field, and he hasn't been very consistent. The two things I hated most about Tarvaris, Wilson has been doing during the first 3 games.

A seasoned QB that would have been murdered by now. Wilson is far more mobile than Flynn and he wouldn't stand a chance behind the line. The playcalling is the problem with the offense. Not Wilson.
