Yes i got the idea from the other thread but its different.

Which teams that failed to win a championship at the Finals could win it today?

Which of those teams could beat the Heat today?

Which match-up would be most intriguing to see today if you were pairing any Finals runner-up with any Finals winner?

Too many choices, but I'll go with teams in the Post-Jordan Era:

2008 Lakers, 2010 Celtics, 2005 Pistons

No Bynum, no Ariza, = Vladamir/Luke Walton trying to guard Bron with only Pau as his anchor in the paint. And you think they would win? Is Bosh not healthy or am I missing something?

2005 Pistons are a decent comp but they struggled with the new rules and werent the same power house they were defensively the year before, but yes I could see them winning, certainly moreso than the 2010 Celtics.

What are you talking about .. In 2008 the lakers had a stacked bench and starting lineup . They would definitely have a good shot

Except they didnt have a stacked bench. They would once they got Ariza back and Bynum pushed Odom to the pine, but without those 2, Bron feasts on this kind of team. No anchor, no lanky defender, those were 2 huge additions for next years Lakers team.

87/88 Pistons - No ankle injury to Isiah and could have beat the Lakers. To mean for Miami

90/91 Lakers - With healthy Worth could have beat Bulls. To skilled for Miami. Magic would make Divac Kareem lol
03/04 Lakers - Shaq would Killed Miami's inside game, and Wade cant guard Kobe
07/08 Lakers - Healthy Bynum and Ariza L.A beats Boston. Ariza on Bron, Pau and Bynum kills Miami inside.
83/84 Lakers - Showtime Lakers.

09/10 Celtics - Healthy Perk and well... could have hurt the Lakers
84/85 Celtics - To stacked. Inside game would killed Miami.
86/87 Celtics- Same

85/86 Rockets - The Dream and Ralp Samson the true Twin Towers would destroy Miami.

01/02 Nets - Only thing that killed that team was inside game and thats what miami lacks the most.

Im basing my opinion on which past Finals losing team I think could have won this past Finals not 2013 Finals. I cant say who would win today becuase I dont know how dominate the Lakers will be this year, or how good the Heat will be with there new additions, or and other team for that matter.

The OP asked a three part question and i answered two of them. Every team i named could win a championship today, and a good number of those teams could beat last year Heat team. 5 of them teams were finals losers the other were conference finals losers.

Wait do you mean, which team that lost in their CONFERENCE finals could have beat the team that won the finals that year? Or just in general? Most people are putting teams that were not even in the finals so I'm not sure I understand.

Name any Finals loser that could beat any Finals winner and tell me why you think so. How would the matchup play out?
