Thread is for the 10 best starting 5.

Is Felton, Shumpert, Melo, Amare and Chandler not good? I certainly think it is.

Whatever happened to the east coast?

You mean the east coast tht currently has the championship trophy?
You do know that OKC, Denver, SAS, are not on the west coast right?
Miami, Boston, NY, Philly, Brooklyn, are all contenders and all on the East coast.

What exactly was your point?

Did I miss the 2013 playoffs, because according to you it's over?

Lakers fans are the only fans that can make everyone else root or the Miami Heat.

SteBO

Based on starting 5's alone?

1) Lakers
2) Heat
3) Thunder
4) Clippers
5) Celtics
6) Spurs
7) Nets
8) Nuggets
9) Knicks
10) Warriors

This all barring health obviously.

*On a side note, if Rose were entering this season 100% healthy, I'd have Chicago on this list and would've placed them at 4 or 5 ahead of Boston, taking GSW out of the picture.

He felt disrespected, Miami went after him hard and Celtics resigned KG and signed Terry before even talking with Ray.

Why based on starting 5? Do 6th men no longer count? Or the necessity of a productive backup big man? Stars turn a playoff team into a contender, but role players turn a contender into a champion.

I don't see how Miami has one of the best starting five. Chamlbers and Anthony are perhaps the worst starters in the league at their respective positions.

From what I heard they offer deals to Garnett and Allen at the same time, and they offer Allen more than Miami did.

I'm not sure why Allen left... obviously rumours are him and Rondo didn't get a long, and he likely didn't like coming off the bench. There is a difference in coming off the bench behind Wade, and coming off the bench behind Avery Bradley. I mean.. Avery Bradley 6'2... And he shot like $#!T in the playoffs.

I would have felt slighted if I was Allen.

If we say "when healthy", then the Twolves with a prime Roy are pretty scary too.

And WTF the Clippers?? Really??

Yes, but he wasn't healthy either. He became a liability on defense (something that obviously both Doc and KG pried themselves on, that was the culture of the 08 title team), and the fact that he basically had no lift on his 3 pt shots anymore.
