Lakers have 3 new guys in the starting lineup so it will take some time for them to get going.

But if Howard won't miss any time then I think 55-60 wins is possible

I think OKC will finish with the number 1 seed. The Lakers on paper would finish number 1 but I'm expecting Nash to pick up an injury or 2 during the season and miss games. And, Howard is returning from surgery too.

OKC have the same core coming back and are healthy so that's why I go with OKC on this one...

I Think Lakers. may have 2 new Starters but I dont see Nash taking any time to adjust as with Howard. Probable the only 2 players in the league that dont need time to adjust for their games to suit any team in the leage

I picked the Lakers, but I think it will be a tossup. In all reality, Brown should not even concentrate on that. He should bring Kobe's minutes down to around 33-34, Nash as well, and make sure his players that have 1200+ games on their knees get some rest for a probable 20+ game playoff run. The Thunder on the other hand will get Maynor back, so they will be able to give some rest to Harden/Westbrook, Durant and Ibaka are kids, they can play all night, so barring injuries to either team, the Thunder SHOULD have more wins, but I don't think sitting Kobe over a 1/4 of the game is going to be allowed by Kobe.

My picking the Lakers is also assuming Dwight is 100% by game 10-15, no later. Otherwise OKC by a few wins after 82.

Only cuz Lake show will need to put to many new toys in the box and expect everyone to play nice right away

I choose lakers but its really a toss up. OKC can definitely win the west also they have plenty of talent.

To many new toys in the box and have them play nice right away makes no sense. You know they have training camp this year right? This is not a lockout season haha they will have plenty of time to gel only dwight might be missing but that doesn't worry me. Everyone else will have plenty of time before the season to learn how to play nice.

The thunder have the youth and stamina to dominate the regular season. The playoffs is where Kobe and the Lakers will come alive.

Dude that simply means that their team has a whole new make up and will need time to gel and create chemistry, they will loose ground to the lakers early, probably midway and towards the end, they will shine come playoffs in my HOP

It also depends on how long Howard stays out. They can have a bad start with thier best player our and some lack of chemistry. The Thunder got a little better this offseason, Maynor will be back, and they got one year older, which is a good thing. It will be really close, but barring any injuries I pick OKC
