Simple question. Will an NBA Most Improved Player of the Year ever get in the Hall of Fame? Why or why not?

If he...really...really improves? Haha, weird question

I could see Kevin Love eventually making it if his D gets better.

Tmac was on track. I'll say even if Love doesn't get any better and plays at his current rate for 12 years he'll get in.

Love will make it but I wonder if Alvin Robertson manages to sneak in after a few years of omissions.

Kevin Love, Danny Granger and T-Mac will all likely end up in the HOF. Turk might get in with his international play, though I doubt that very much.

So, yes. Of course.

Wait Granger and Love are already HOF players to you guys? That makes no sense to me,

Sure if he gets it young and continues to improve, becoming a star player for a long time.

T-mac could still get in IMO (not a high chance though)

KLove if he keeps playing like this, he leads his team to the playoffs consecutive times and gets out of the 1st round once or twice will be a lock.

He listens to terrible music and the guy he was responding to has a terrible musician (likely as a joke) in his sig so he responded with lyrics from a terrible song written by the terrible musician as an inside joke.

Well seeing how it happen in the NFL (e.g Marcus Allen), I do not see why it can't happen in the NBA. Wont be a first ballot, but down road... sure

Easily.

Average 10 PPG the first season or so, then become a consistent 20-30 PPG scorer, a top NBA talent and a leader on a playoff team.

It's amazing how many selfish and/or just ****** players are on that list.

Oh and saying Danny Granger is a future HoF is crazy but Kevin Love is definately on the path.

If granger ends up in the hof, then it has lost any credibility that it had. Unless he vastly improves

kevin johnson? If so i didnt know he won a mip. He should absolutely be in the hof considering some of these posters think players that werent half as good as him should be in.

I don't like how many players get inducted into the HOF. I feel like it should be really exclusive and for guys who made a serious impact on the game rather than guys who had all-star careers.

Under the current system, T-Mac deserves a spot along with a gravestone for his injury-shortened prime and Love is on pace to make it as a prolific rebounder/scorer (30-30) and a re-definition of what a PF is (taking the stretch 4 and re-infusing the rebounding).

Agree with this. It would also help to have an NBA HOF as well, rather than just a basketball HOF.

Alvin Robertson, Kevin Johnson and Tracy McGrady are all borderline type Hall of Fame caliber players. And with a generation that is beginning to appreciate advanced stats more and more, I think it's quite possible one of those guys makes it in someday. Even if they don't, Kevin Love had his first season last year as one of the five best players in the NBA. If he continues to have those type of seasons and can start adding playoff runs and maybe a ring or two to that resume, he's certainly got a good chance.

But the easy answer is.... Yes, an MIP will most definitely make the HOF some day.

Why are people saying Kevin Love is a hall of famer? What has he done?

Might as well say Monta Ellis is a hall of famer too.
