Gonzo hits a homer in his first AB as a Dodger. Beckett gives up a homer in his first AB pitching as a Dodger. There's a certain symmetry there. ;)

Yeah it was a typical Colorado meteor too. Like way way deep and high as all hell.
He actually pitched ok, but it's hard to make any judgement in Coors field. I did notice he has pretty nice control and really doesn't throw hard at all anymore. I think 92mph was the best I saw.

You make a very fair point, LAFord, about it being Coors field. Let's see how he works out in a more neutral environment closer to sea level. Honestly, I think that Beckett will do well in the pitcher friendly NL West parks.

Yeah, i felt sorry for him. First Dodger game in coors field, thats just wrong.

Coors field has killed many a rookie's careers lol
