1. Thunder 59-23
2. Lakers 59-23
3. Spurs 54-28
4. Clippers 50-32
5. Nuggets 50-32
6. Grizzlies 48-34
7. Mavericks 46-36
8. Jazz 41-41
9. Timberwolves 41-41
10. Warriors 38-44
11. Blazers 35-47
12. Rockets 33-49
13. Hornets 31-51
14. Suns 30-52
15. Kings 29-53

Comments:
I think at least 1 team will break 60 wins.
Those 4/5/6 seeds are very hard to predict.
Also agree with the teams in the 7-10 seeds just not the order (could see Twolves in playoffs).
I can see the Suns and Rockets switching places on these rankings by the end of the season as well.

No complaints from me on this list. I do think the Thunder will break 60 wins this year though, and I do think Minnesota makes the playoffs.

Hawkeye15

no complaints really, though I do think teams 5-9 will have more wins, and the bottom feeders will have less. But all in all, as a Wolves fan, until I see Roy play and how quickly Rubio recovers, I really have no idea where to rank us.

A .500 record is not getting you in out west, sorry. It's still a much stronger conference than the east.

I think the Clippers win 55gams

I think the Wolves finish as the 6 or 7 seend

Warriors and Suns have like 45 wins on the season

Looks great, but I think the Kings and suns will have more wins than that, Kings maybe 23-59 and the suns 28-54.

I think both the Thunder and Lakers break 60.
If Dwight starts off at the top of the season, Lakers will win 64-67 games.
Thunder will be right there with 62-64, especially retaining their scary core.

I actually think Minnesota edges out Utah for a spot.
Clippers are dangerous too. They'll win a min of 54 games. Their roster is pretty fierce this year. I may slide them to 3rd, but then again, the Spurs win games purely on class, so it'll be a dogfight.

The West is nasty this year. Can't wait

The timberwolves making the playoffs over the jazz? There's a joke. T he jazz got better this offseason and that negates any "improvements" minnesota has made.

If they couldn't make the playoffs last year, it won't happen at all for them. Love has failed to step up and lead his team he just gave up after Rubio got hurt. Picking fist fights with Barea is more important than winning.

Pretty solid list. Lakers won't get in high 60's because they're not typically known as a team who goes all out in the regular season. 62 at most for them, but they do own come playoff time.

Just curious why do so many people like the Wolves over the Jazz? Comparing rosters I don't see it.

Because the two best players between the two teams are Love and Rubio IMO. And they have a solid team around them. I'm not a big fan of Jefferson and even though I like Millsap and Favors will have a good season, I think the Wolves get the edge here. Just my opinion though.

If Zach is back I still like the Grizz, but I do think this is a changeover year. I can easily see the Spurs and Mavs lower and if Bogut and Curry are healthy The Warriors will be a very tough team. Yeah, I think Bogut , healthy, could be that good.

Also have to see how Paul holds up throughout the season, since I think this ranking is assuming he remains mostly healthy.

1. Lakers (Lets face it they're the overall no.1 team in NBA right now)
2. Thunder (with Durant = #2 best player in NBA, Russell = in top 3 PG, Harden = in top 5 SG, Ibaka = in top 12 PF)
3. Clippers (they got better bench now than last year)
4. Spurs (they were the no.1 team last year in terms of win)
5. Nuggets (with Iguodala on the team, they got the best roster in the West)
6. Grizzlies (Gasol and Randolph tandem are no.2 best bigmen in NBA)
7. Timberwolves (Love&Rubio are the new Stockton-Malone, plus Defensive veteran AK47, no.2 pick Derrick Williams and former ROY Brandon Roy expect them to be a cotender)
8. Mavs (former champs) or Warriors (My dark horse in West)

NO WAY KINGS FINISH LAST have the people who made these predictions seen cousins play? do they realize he's only getting better?

'Reke finally found a nice niche last season playing small forward and isiah thomas was a nice surprise who could hopefully sustain a starting position

marcus thorton aint no trash either. Not to mention TROB is supposedly very talented. i'm high on sacremento i see them finishing with 35-40 wins this year. ahead of the suns, hornets, and rockets. they're only getting better at this point

If Howard started the year and they team had chemistry already then I'd agree.
But they need to implement a new floor general firstly.
Adding a new dominant big next to Gasol midseason will entail growing pains.
Also adding Jamison into the mix to lead the bench.

I'd give them 58 wins at best. If Howard somehow does start the season on time, then 63-65 wins.

Young bigs getting more experienced. Hayward only getting better, along with rebuilding their horrible perimeter. If someone told me that they traded Devin Harris for Mo Williams, Marvin Williams, and Randy Foye... I'd say that's a win.

And yes, LeBron is unstoppable, which is why it'll take Lakers full team effort to stop the most dominant force in the NBA right now. It'll be hard, but hopefully we can contain Mr. James there if we're fortunate to face Miami in the finals.
