You are the GM of your favorite team.. Do you take a chance on his guy?

08-20-2012, 11:05 PM
It depends what team. A coach like pop can really change a player attitude. Possibly a doc rivers or even pat?

08-20-2012, 11:06 PM
for the heat i've been saying no all offseason. but the other day reading the article about him, i changed my mind. i think hes been humbled enough and we all know he has skills. i'd do it for a non guarenteed min contract. he didn't really have vetern leadership in DC, where in miami there might be enough guys like lebron/wade/bosh/battier/haslem to get through to him, especially after almost being forced to sign in the dleague.

08-20-2012, 11:19 PM
i know hes a nut but i wouldnt mind him. the nets need depth at the 5/4

08-20-2012, 11:30 PM
I'd pick him up for the vet min.

08-20-2012, 11:30 PM
no. team cancer.

08-20-2012, 11:34 PM
With a coach like Pop or Doc i think he could do well, especially with guys like Duncan and KG helping him

08-20-2012, 11:35 PM
non-guaranteed contract

08-20-2012, 11:38 PM
For the Vet Min sure. Back up big men are always welcome. Lol

08-20-2012, 11:41 PM
My Raps will pass.. too young of a team to have his bad attitude around

08-20-2012, 11:49 PM
As a wizards fan here is what i say for every team
you DO NOT want this guy

08-21-2012, 12:03 AM
yes, talented, young, big...bad attitude and immature but the culture in Washington didn't help that at all...a change of scenery with a veteran team is what he needs

08-21-2012, 12:04 AM
I hate Blatche.

08-21-2012, 12:07 AM
Maybe if his shoes are clean.

08-21-2012, 12:25 AM
He has the talent but a horrible attitude so it would take a strong minded coach

08-21-2012, 12:33 AM
I would take him on the Pacers. He would be a better backup than Hansbrough and our roster and coaching staff would more than likely keep him in line.

08-21-2012, 12:34 AM
I'll just say that Andray Blatche would of been a better pick up then Jermaine O'Neal for the Suns.. maybe the F.O. thought Beasley was enough risks to take...

I thought sure Miami would give him a look or Brendan Haywood. I think the heat have the people in place to keep Blanche in line. Let's face it. The wizards organization wouldn't be a good example of discipline.

08-21-2012, 12:45 AM
Knicks need him like yesterday

08-21-2012, 12:58 AM
I would take him on the Knicks but JR is on the team so no thanks!

08-21-2012, 01:27 AM
He's ok but the league is stocked with Pf's and Pg's so it depends on what type of contact he gets.

08-21-2012, 01:44 AM
im sure during the next three months someone will give him a shot at proving he isnt a bust. he has talent, but his problem truly was, he was a kid in a GROWN mans would with unlimited money to fuel his playground. but i forsee him getting a shot from teams such as Toronto, Houston, GoldenState, Minnesota, Brooklyn or even Philly. these are the teams either need a true PowerForward or need depth at that position because their starter is average....... thus we come to the point, he will have a job before you know it.

08-21-2012, 03:09 AM
A contender yes. Rebuilding no

08-21-2012, 04:23 AM
I heard he is working out with coach John Lucas...a wise move but will it turn him back into the Blatche we saw in 2010-2011 season... i think most-likely not. He's still a young guy at 25 with size and athleticism. Despite the previous issues with his attitude, latley he has appeared to have his priorities in check. Yet that all remains to be seen during the season. If i were a GM i would take a chance on this guy with a minimum non-guarenteed contract all day. IMO, he could land somewhere in the NBA for more $ than Heat or Spurs. However, no one else has shown interest...i heard a rumor about the Knicks wanting him but i don't know if it's true and that was only a day or two after him being amnestied. Lots of teams F.O. should take a look at him during his workout sessions. If he can turn things around, many Nba teams will wish they had made him an offer.

He's working on "repairing" his image now in Houston with John Lucas as the poster above said as well. In the right environment this guy can be really special. He has a ton of potential, we've already seen he can ball.

I would absolutely take him, and considering he's willing to play in the d-league, he's not looking for a huge pay day. A 1 year contract, see what he has and if he's worth big money next year then pay him. If not, let him walk

08-21-2012, 09:30 AM
i'd take him on the Raptors. we are in need of skilled big men.
JVal is not ready and Blatche will be better than Aaron Gray.

If he comes in and plays defence and block shots, i'd take a waiver wire on him lol you can't teach size and Blatche has it.

08-21-2012, 09:31 AM
I would take him on the Knicks but JR is on the team so no thanks!

they play different positions but if you can only have one nut case/ under achiever on the team, then i agree with you lol

08-21-2012, 09:38 AM
I would take him, maybe he just need a change of scenary.

08-21-2012, 09:51 AM
Lakers could use another athletic big to man the paint when Howard sits. Hill is a banger/ dirty work big for use which is great, but I wouldnt mind have a Ibaka Light changing some shots for us.

08-21-2012, 10:03 AM
He's got talent but a horrible attitude and cancer in the locker room I wouldn't want him on my squad.

08-21-2012, 10:17 AM
He is really talented and could be a damn good backup 4/5.

That said I want him no where near Andre Drummond.

08-21-2012, 10:42 AM
He has talent, but he will only fit on a limited amount of teams because of his poor IQ and attitude.
