This is a made up Award, that i believe should be a real one. Much like the DPOY, the Offensive Player of the Year, shows a player's greatness on offense, instead of Defense. So who wil win it for the 2012-13 season?

Mock Season Awards: 2012-13
MVP: Kevin Durant
ROY: Anthony Davis
DPOY: Lebron James

KD but if this were a real award in the NBA, it would probably someone different if he's already getting MVP.

Isn't the scoring title considered best offensive player of the year?

Closest thing to it, but there's more to offense than scoring. Iverson won one for crying out loud.

thats like saying DPOY depends on who has the most blocks. it has to be broken down from assist offensive rebounding, points, spreading the ball, Off. awarness, shot pecentage, and how well the player reacts on a fast break into one statistic. that will decide it.

I think Nash is going to be the most efficient offensive player, not because he's going to score that much, but because he is going to be making the plays so well. Assissts are a big indication of what you do on offence and I believe that Nash will lead the league in that catagory this season, plus his deadly shot is going to make defences pay whenever they double team Kobe, Gasol or Howard.

Why is nobody talking about who is going to be leading the league in assists in this thread? There is more to offence then just putting the ball into the bucket.

In 07, for example, Nash leade the league in assists (11.6) and did well socring the basket too (18.6) Now, assuming that the asssists were all two point conversions that DIDN'T go to the line, Nash was generating 23.2 points off of assists and 18.6 off of points score, for a total of 41.8 points game. Last season, when Durant lead the league in socring, he average only 28 points and 3.5 assists, generating a total of 35 points a game. So who is the better offensive player? Nash or Durant?

Similar arguements can be made for CP3 as well.

I think Nash and CP3 will be the two most efficient offensive players in the league this upcoming season.

Stop overrating Nash and Nash's assist numbers, he won't lead the league in assists this season, nor get some ridiculous amount to earn him OPOY
