View Full Version : Dear Mr. Henry

Over your years as owner of our beloved team, you have led us to two World Championships and in return we have filled Fenway and your pockets day after day. But we are at a crossroad and there seems to be 3 options for you to consider:
Option 1 - Take control and turn your focus from Liverpool to Fenway. If you are a true owner with a passion that equals your teams fans, you will make changes needed to turn this inept baseball team around. Step 1 would be end your relationship with Larry L. His decisions have been one of the major problems with the turn of this team. It's time to show some balls and step up to the plate. Step 2 - Say goodbye to Bobby. Reality has showed what everyone but Larry had thought, he doesn't fit in our team or our city. Find someone with the patience and drive like Terry Francona. We had the best but Larry's ego and all ownerships lack of respect chased the best manager we ever had out of Boston. Step 3 - Right the wrongs starting with Beckett and every other player that is not part of a team concept. The list may not be that long, but you know who they are. This option is painful, but probably easy to accomplish.

Option 2 - Sell the team and take your millions to a city that could care less about winning like you had in Miami. Offer Mr. Kraft first crack so we can have an organization that knows what to do to keep players and fans happy.

Option 3 - Do nothing. Bring back Larry, Bobby and Beckett and watch the fanbase slowly disappear. Yes us die hards will still come because we have Red Sox in ou bloodstream, but many "fringe" fans will go away.

Mr. Henry it is your legacy we are talking about. Will you go down as the greatest owner in team history or someone who looked the other way while the team was run into the ground by people you delegated your dynasty to, while you were too busy watching a soccer game. Red Sox Nation is looking for leadership! Where are you?

The only thing he cares about is his money...as long as he has it he's good...but other than that...I agree with everything in your post. What I would have done at the end of last year is keep Tito, give him his contract extension...find out from him who the problems are (we already pretty much know anyway) and get rid of the problem. Even though I don't like Bobby V...it's not his fault people like Beckett and Lackey are screwing around with this team...you could have the best manager in baseball (like Tito) and they won't play for him...you need to cut the cancer out of the team...that means get rid of Beckett and Lackey and all the others even if it means eating their contract and getting nothing for them.
