I think Blake will get more touches and CP3 will have to share the ball with both Blake and Billups (hopefully). I like CP3 when hes not looking to lead the league in assists because he have multiple playmakers that can set the table.

How can you not have Nash in your top 4 when he has always been at the top in apg.
Because hes no longer in that system/team

He finished last year at #2 behind Rondo,I think he gets more assist playing with better talent.
But hes playing with talent that can play with the ball. Rumor has it the Lakers are going to run the Princeton O, that combined with Dwight/Pau/Kobe all being worthy of post touches, I dont see Nash accumulating the same amount of assists. Playing with better talent doesnt mean anything if you dont ***** the playing style of that talent.

Like look at LeBron and Wade. They got to play with each other, but that didnt boost their assists, they had to share the ball and one of them was going to experience a more significant loss.

08-11-2012, 11:30 PM
Rondo. I think Nash's assists per game will decrease. Not that it's a bad thing, I just don't think he'll have to work as hard as he did in Phoenix. Some possessions are just going to be dump downs to Kobe, Pau and Dwight. All 3 of those guys are pretty darn good individual post players.

Nash's minutes will be lower than ever too I bet.

And you feel he will be among the top assisters in spite of this?

His assist rate last year with zero shooters was already very good. Just having Budinger, Love, Ridnour, or Shved is already an upgrade on spot ups, which we sucked at last season. I would guess it will take him 15-20 games once he starts playing to get going, and will be possibly the top assist man over the last 35 games or so, driving up his numbers. We are better at cutting, shooting, and pretty much every type of scoring outside interior with Pek/Love.

At least I am hoping for a speedy recovery, which is what is being said. How much of that is true, we as fans probably don't know.

Nash? How do you guys figure? Are Kobe, Pau, and Dwight playing strictly off the ball next year? I cant envision that happening.

Spot on. Kobe is still going to bring the ball up a lot and work the isolation. I expect Pau and Nash to have a lot of chemistry, but Pau may very well turn passes from Nash into assists to Dwight. And unless Nash is handing Dwight the ball for a dunk, I don't expect Dwight to convert very many assists for Nash.

Rondo is my pick.

Nash? Not when he's playing with Kobe. If you replace Kobe with a shooting specialist then Nash would lead the league in assists by a landslide but it's not happening playing alongside Kobe. Kobe's main strength is playing with the ball in his hands, not without it.

My pick is Rondo. Then CP3, Deron, and Nash in that order.
