hate this guy after his 2010 playoff performance, but with his knees, phx is a decent landing spot.

I'm hoping the Suns can keep him healthy and build him up enough to deal him by the deadline. He won't see the court once Frye returns anyway.

Smart decision by him and Phoenix

Guys like JO, McGrady, and Redd could use the med staff, come cheap, and still move some revenue for them

Pretty unexpected if you ask me.

Veteran free agent center Jermaine O'Neal has elected to sign with the Phoenix Suns, according to a report from Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic. O'Neal, who has played two injury-prone seasons for the Boston Celtics recently, will look to revive a career that has fallen off since he was once one of the NBA's best players.

O'Neal will turn 34 in October and has been in the league since 1996, but has missed a lot of games recently. He played in just 25 contests for the Celtics this season after being surprisingly effective for Boston and the Miami Heat in the two prior years. However, the Suns have a history of taking injury-prone players and making them healthy, thanks to their pristine medical and training staffs. Injury-prone players such as Grant Hill and many more have rediscovered their health and their step while playing for the Suns.

O'Neal averaged just five points and 3.9 rebounds for the Celtics last season.

The Suns have put together an interesting group.

We could surprise a lot of people, but we're probably going to suck.

A solid reserve center to Gortat if you ask me. It's kind of surprising he signed with a non-title contender this late in his career considering all the injuries and 0 championships.

Great fit for the minimum (I assume). He's biggest problem is staying healthy and Phoenix has the best medical staff in the business.

OT but what ever happened to Grant Hill? Did he stay in Phoenix?

google?

anyway i think this isnt big for phoenix but im happy for JO i think this is huge for him he might be able to extend his career like other players that have went there. as much as i want oden (do i need to explain why?) i feel as if the best thing for his career would be to sign a 2 year player option on the 3rd contract and get with the greatest training staff in the league and get his body right. because he could still be a 12 ppg 10 rpg 1.5 bpg type of player. and after that he would only be 26 and could sign a 3 yr 25 million dollar deal maybe even more (if asik can get it avg 3 ppg and 5 rpg i think a 7 ft defensive stud can) and with JO and Gortat he could slowly work his way into the rotation. and if he works out after this season you trade gortats expiring and you free up money for the 2014 free agency which is pretty much 2010 v2 (although most are options and 2015 could be the big year) either way my point is you could have oden as a key cog or a solid role player either way with that staff eh why not?

This. And I expect them to work miracles on this guy like they do everybody else.
