no question about it. he'll jack up bricks all day before he lets D12 avg even 20 ppg, let alone more than him like he should. KB should go down to 19-18 ppg, & let Nash do his thing & find the open man & let the bigs run things. not a chance

No its Nash's team.

If Nash suffers an injury and is done for the season, then the Lakers won't be THAT much better than they have been the past 2 years. Nash is the key here. They finally have a great PG.

It would be news to me if he said: **** Dwight, this is my team!

Kobe has many faults, but he has media savviness, gotta give him that. We'll see if he follows through. He also said he was happy to have Sessions on the team so he doesn't have to control the ball and be less of a playmaker last year.

Kobe haters are people who don't understand Kobe.

Kobe wants to win, he will do what he needs to do to win.

If you suck, he will demand the ball and try to win it himself.

If you're good, he will pass it.

I'll believe it when I see it, but seeing Kobe in the olympics, I think he himself has begun to realize he's not what he used to be. Being on the olympic team will help the Lakers in the sense that he realizes he isn't always the go to player

I find it hilarious that before Dwight was a laker, laker fans were relentless saying Kobe was better than Dwight. Now that dwights on their team it's "go get em Dwight it's your team your the best player on it". Smh. You bandwagon fans sure are annoying.

Bullsfan22
08-10-2012, 07:00 PM
That's a big deal lies or not. If Howard feels that way he'll be more aggressive and play better. Kobe is going to get his no matter what, just like D-Wade did. He's already won 2-3 championships as the "man" depending on who you ask. What more do you have to prove? Just rack up rings and let his legacy do the talking. Two more is within reach if everything works out as planned.

He averaged the second most ppg last season in his 16th season in the league. Certainly not what he used to be but still one of the very few elite players in this league going into hsi 17th season. Something we have never seen before in the history of this game.

Something we have never seen before in the history of this game.because he was 11 when he came into the league, he's still young he should still be good, that's overblown. MJ was mvp at age 35, 13th season but 35 is 35 and he played 3 college seasons & baseball as well (7 titles counting the national championship, which is an incredibility hard title to win. march madness is tougher to win than an nba title) that title & game winner is a huge part of his basketball legacy as well

Saying it is great, it is. Dwight is clearly the better player overall at this stage, but we will see when the games start if Kobe allows Dwight to take a large leadership role. Not that Kobe shouldn't still be a/the biggest leader, but if he is sincere, this is the year we see Kobe make fairly big changes in his game. If his usage drops, he will only get more efficient and help his team.

Miles?? Bynum is already better offensively, PPG doesnt mean crap, since he always had Kobe on the team, he wasn't the first or second option on offense, and Dwight was his whole career, also Bynum is younger... Dwight is better defensively but by a small margin, but once he goes to the Lakers, his stats will diminish a bit, his offensive touches will lessen A LOT!

Kobe is one the smartest basketball minds of all time. He knows his time is coming to an end. It is so surreal to Kobe. Dennis rodman and Scottie pippen are top 50 nba payers all time. Rodman is one of the greatest defensive players and rebounders to ever step on a court

Did you see watch the Lakers last season? They had absolutely no ball movement. Their offense was revolved around Kobe running iso and then the bigs getting the rebound and going for a put backs.

Now Nash will get the ball into Kobe, Howard, Gasol favorite places on the court.

Its certainly going to be nice for Kobe to finally have a perimeter player on his side who can create on their own as well as create for Kobe. Magic always had it with Worthy and Scott; MJ always had it with Pippen, but Kobe has always played with perimeter players who relied on him and others to score. Its going to be interesting to see how Kobe plays with finally having true talent by his side on the perimeter.

lol how does every thread always come to mj and the bulls no matter who you are talking about haha. anyway i feel he can say whatever he wants but actions speak louder then words. and i think key could let dwight have his number 24 and the key to the city but once they step on the court its a different story. especially because dwight doesnt have the passing skills to dish out to kobe like shaq. go back and watch and shaq could hit the open man a lot even in the high post dwight not so much therefore this calls for a lot more plays but when playing fast pace teams like MIA or OKC you freelance a lot meaning kobe/nash is gonna be ball dominate unlike the kobe/shaq days where the offense was ran through shaq thats why the triangle offense was beautiful to watch with them(even watch Like Mike bow wow knows lol). but this wont happen with dwight as i previously stated he like the passing ability of superman 1.0 (sometimes sequals dont live upto the original). so yea, no matter what kobe says the way the upcoming season plays out in my mind i see it being kobe's team as it has since 2004.
