i think crawford will come off the bench for the clips...and obviously harden isnt the starter for OKC either, he won 6th man of the year, smart money says they will stick with that formula

How are the Mavericks in the poll & not the Bulls? we're better at 3 out of 5 positions.

D.Rose > Collison
Rip < OJ
Deng > Marion
Boozer < Dirk
Noah > Kaman

But the best choice is Miami, then Lakers, Thunder, Clippers, Boston, If Knicks & Nets gain chemistry they will be right there.

The Heat until proven otherwise. The Lakers, Thunder and Celtics are right there as well along with a healthy Bulls team. Don't sleep on the Clippers and Nets either.

Lakers
Heat
Thunder
Clippers
Nets
Celtics
Knicks
Mavs

I like that order for the ones you listed. Healthy Bulls would be somewhere around the Clips and Nets.

Lakers. It would be the Thunder but Harden doesn't start. (At least to my knowledge).

Nets should be up there as well. It's pretty much all they have going for them.

Toss up between Lakers and Thunder. Obviously Heat just won the title and have arguably the best SG and SF in the game in their starting lineup.

Overall though, position by position, I think it comes down to either Kobe's team or Durant's.

lakers have a more balanced starting 5, but come on, Miami won the championship with almost no bench help

you do know that Sefolosha is the starter and Ibaka and Perkins are nowhere near Gasol and Bynum, right?

The voting process should be "who has the best starting 5 BESIDES YOUR TEAM?" I believe it would make for a better discussion. Instead of each teams respective fans pushing for why their team is better.

As for this thread, I say Lakers because on paper there is no weak link and each should have their own roles. I hope it translates into actual game play.

lakers have the best well balanced starting five. there is no weak link in the starters.
i dont get how people are picking the heat.

chalmers<nash
wade=kobe
Lerbon>Peace
Battier<gasol
Bosh<Gasol

although i do think the heat has a better team as of now.

Sure do. And you are delusional if you think otherwise.

Would love to see some advanced stats that show kobe is better than wade.

Kobe isn't better than a healthy Wade, but a Bron, Kobe and Bosh trio would be better than one that featured Wade imo.

Lakers have the best starting 5. 4 potential all-stars. 4 Guys who could be argued to be top 5 at their respective positions.

Lakers.. Its not Miami because they have no inside presence. Chalmers is not very good and neither is battier. Everyone on the Lakers contributes alot, for Miami its wade and lebron with bosh and sometimes chalmers

If you're talking historically, LA is starting a cast of all stars. The problem is that they're no longer in their prime and in some games it shows.

Steve Nash 8 time NBA All-Star (20022003, 20052008, 2010, 2012)
Pau Gasol 4 time NBA All-Star (2006, 20092011)
Andrew Bynum NBA All-Star (2012)
Ron Artest NBA All-Star (2004)
Kobe Bryant 14 NBA All-Star (1998, 20002012)

Wade is better than Kobe?? Are you kidding.... your account should be banned for being such a homer. I have been reading the things you post for awhile and i have to say you are the dumbest person on this website. You are the reason most people think Heat fans are so stupid.

D2theJ
08-09-2012, 04:26 PM
Its tough.. but I'd say the Heat because Lebron, Wade and Bosh are just so good. And Chalmers is a pretty good point guard who would probably do a lot more on a worse team.

mrblisterdundee
08-09-2012, 10:23 PM
If you put Harden in the starting line-up, then it's the Thunder. They'd have the third- or fourth-best point guard, the third-best shooting guard, the second-best small forward, and a top-10 power forward and center.
In comparison, the Heat have a basically unranked point guard, a shooting guard who might drop a few spots because of his knees, the best small forward, a top-5 power forward and a role-playing center.

I'd have to disagree with you there. An injured Kobe has already proven he can play as well as a healthy Wade. A healthy Kobe is still better.
