Doesn't really matter this season...

Still should probably get it unless he can play at 100%

As a bulls fan, I prefer he has surgery to sacrifice part of the season. I don't want the injury to flare up during a playoff run or someother time down the road. With rose being out, i feel we might as well shut down deng to get the whole team healthy. Plus it will give a young butler time to gain some experience and confidence with his jumper.

Haha Hurt it during a playoff run he says... by playoff run I'm guessing you mean making it out of the 4th game in the first round?

 People really act like the bulls arent making the playoffs. They will make it, all depends on how Rose comes back to how far they make their run.

With Rose the Bulls are one of the top teams in the East. Do not kid yourself.

Based on what?

It's not like the East is significantly (or any) better than it was last season. While not having Rose most of the year will definitely hurt, they can do a lot worse than throwing that starting 5 out there. I'll take a Rose-less Bulls team over anyone else in the East not named Miami, Boston, Indy and maybe the Knicks.

With Rose. Without Rose they are surely a viable playoffs team. If Rose was healthy the bulls would be considered a favorite for a top seed. Regardless of the on papermoves other teams have made.

no. not until we see what that bench looks like. If rose was healthy, i have the bulls somewhere between 3-5. Not better than the boston or miami.

Thats what people said last season and thete it was Boston and Miami firmly behind Chicago. With Rose missing tons of time.

Chicagos bench was incredible last season. Watson stepped up big for you guys, there were no injuries to boozer(miracle) and noah. Asik played well, korver stepped his game up. Fact is rose is hurt, and bulls will be the 5 seed if i had to put money on it, would love to see the bulls face the knicks in the first round, i think the bulls would beat knicks if rose is good to go when he returns.

Well we may be able to win even more than that. I still think we take the Central Division. We will probably be a #2 or #3 seed and probably play the Knicks in the 2nd round.

justinnum1

They need one more big as insurance but im not sure they can sign anyone else due to handling their cap situation poorly.

Boston is not a regular season team, they will not be 2nd seed.
Neither is Miami, yet posters here have them as #1. If anything, it'll be by default since Boston and Miami are two teams that have improved their depth to help them get through the regular season more smoothly.
