Hey guys, Some of you may remember that for the last four years I have conducted a poll at the end of the season that had PSD users vote for the top 10 players at each position. The season is now over and the Heat have been crowned NBA champs which means its time to kick off the off-season player rankings.

A lot has changed since last season. Lebron was labelled by some as Choke Artist in the clutch and now this year had one of the greatest finals performances in recent memory. Let start the discussion since lots has changed since the start of last season. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round. I have also included the results of those last 4 years so everyone can see how much things have changed...Enjoy.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best

Toss up between Wallace and Gallo.

Wallace's numbers are just about the same as Gallos but I'll take Wallace because of his defensive prowess.

He's coming off a down year, he will be much improved next season.

Gallinari doesnt pass like Wallace, doesnt shooter a higher % than wallace, doesnt play defense like Wallace, doesnt block shots like Wallace, doesnt get steals like Wallace. So how is he better?

Well many people will take his PPG and youth over Wallace. Its a close race, dont play it off like its not, but Wallace should have the edge.

Gallo has a higher PER, TS%, lower turnover rate, higher usage rate, higher Offensive rating, higher WS/48. Much better offensive player, and his defense has shifted to stone cold underrated at this point of his career, after gaining the rep of being a bad defender early.

It doesnt matter about youth it matters about currently who is better. Also Wallace avg more points so I dont get it.

None of that stuff means anything im sure there are players that have higher all that than some all stars but that doesnt mean they are better. You obviously have a problem with the Nets so suddenly.

Just stop it has nothing to do with that, please do not make this a Nets thread. Enough is enough.

I'll go grant hill lol.

I'm a New yorker and man...I liked Gallo and all, but ever since he went to Denver, people overrate him...kinda how people kept pushing gallo down when he was here in NY. He's ok, but nowhere near as good as someone like Wallace (albeit, he is on his way down because of age but still better), Hill, evans (he's a SF? damn, from PG to SG to SF lol), etc

No, it does mean something when we are judging two players who are fairly equal.

I have zero problem with the Nets, I simply call homers out when their blinders are on. A case can be made for Wallace here, but going into next season, I take Gallinari over Wallace for sure. One going into his prime, coming off a breakout year if not for injury, one will be another year in his decline stage.

The numbers you bring up actually mean nothing.

George was voted in as a shooting guard.

To add on to what Hawkeye said, Wallace isn't a dominate defender anymore and isn't that much better than Gallo. The only thing he does better at this point is rebounding.

Chandler Parsons!!! A lot of y'all be sleeping on the him because of the lack of national coverage. He's athletic, a decent shooter (probably improved over the off season), only a sophomore, etc. He's a better defender that Gallinari and better has a better offense than Wallace

Here we go again wit the trolling trying to make this a nets thread. I'm assuming this troll thinks Humphries is the best PF in the league and Lopez is the best C in the league and the Nets are already the 2012-2013 champs

Wallace is anything but a great defender. His advanced defensive statistics were pretty bad this year so I am not sure how some people can call him great.

amazing defender and trys harder then almost any other player in the nba, one of the best slashers in nba. gallos game is busted, just a shooter, very one demensional

Clearly you don't know much about basketball because everything you said about Gallo and Wallace was wrong. Gallo actually shot poorly this past season and was a very good defensive player even better than Wallace in that regard. Wallace was borderline mediocre defensively this past season and proved that he was not one of the best slashers in the NBA.

He was a great defender, but for some reason, defensive reputation seems to be set early in a career, and it doesn't change as the player does. This poll is a perfect example. Gallinari is looked at as a very poor defender, when in fact he was MUCH improved this year, and is now a plus defender. Wallace was a great defender, but is now just an above average one, but his reputation still makes many fans who just go with the flow still believe he is a lockdown defender.

I listed the reasons is two separate posts.

Wallace isn't close to an amazing defender anymore. Gallinari is also much better offensively then Wallace. This isn't a poll for 09-10' season, its from last season going into next.

Gallo is without a doubt one of the best in the game at getting to the line.

I havent been able to watch much of him in Denver, but when he was a Knick, any time he drove to the rim, he was drawing the foul.

Looks like half of us agree that Gallinari is the best remaining player.

I think I'll vote Kawhi Leonard next.
