Let's say This upcoming season

Kobe averaged 27-6-6 on 48% shooting and led the lakers to 62+ wins and #1st place in the NBA

Let's say Lebron averaged 28-7-7 on 50% shooting and led the heat to #1 in the east

Durant averaged 31-7-4 on 49% shooting and the thunder finished 2nd in the west who would you guys give the MVP to?

justinnum1

Probably lebron. (in your scenario)

If durant got the 1 seed which i think he will then he would probably get the MVP

depends on how many wins the heat and thunder got, but if the lakers got a significant amount more, like +7 for example, i'd give it to kobe.

i think he would pull a lot of votes for the fact that he'd be playing at that level at that age

Let's say Bynum averaged 25-15-5

Let's say Bynum averaged 25-15-5

I would say thats being unrealistic.

also, i dont think kobe gets more than 4assists a game because he will be handling the ball less.

Need to see their efficiency numbers. Also factor in that LeBron will again clearly be the best defender of any MVP candidate.

I do see why u think Kobe will only average 4 ast with less ball handling but I believe having better shooters will help out his ast numbers

Nash will make Kobe that much more efficient and the lakers that much better

ok buddy kobe is not a catch and shoot guy he need a lot of shots to get alot of points. steve nash spreads the ball around to everyone. does kobe move without the ball the answer is no he catches the ball in iso just like melo.lakers wont win 62 games in the west maybe the east but not the west.

LMFAO @ Kobe averaging 6 assists a game. When was the last time he did that? Yeah, only once in his entire career decades ago. Not to mention his assists numbers will probably take a big hit because Nash will be the primary ball handler. And no way he's shooting at 48% clips. Has never done better than 46% (Yeah, don't tell me Nash will improve his efficiency by 6% from last year).

I say it's between LeBron and KD. If both had similar records and numbers it'll go to KD because of voters will feel like it's a due. But I also feel like KD needs to be a dominant defensive presence. Otherwise, LeBron's insane defense and legit candidacy of DPOY will always get him the node.

People really don't know what Nash can do, he will do wonders to Kobe and the lakers!

and that makes kobe even less likely to get an MVP.

You do know Kobe has never shot higher than 46.9% in a season, right?

What if Jeremy Lin averages 50 ppg while shooting 75 % and 60 % from down town. What if he averages 20 assists per game and the Rockets get the #1 seed.

Durant..

Who deserves it? Lebron, but I think voters will get bored and be reluctant to give him his 4th MVP.. so Durant

didnt Miami have the 4th best record last season? They chose Lebron with a supporting cast of: D-Wade, Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers who could still be a championship caliber without him, over KD and the SuperSonics who would be trash without him, and Tony Parker and the Spurs who would collapse if he fails, heck Tim Duncan could be the MVP over Lebron. but hey, Lebron a superstar with a large fanbase. whattayagonnado?

If you don't understand why lebron won then look up the word Efficiency.

Would it be that High without Wade? or Bosh? when they didnt have Bosh you almost lost in the Second Round or even the Conference Finals.

Thats like saying would KD be as efficient if westbrook was out...

Injuries happen.

Bosh is our most important player.
