Remember his electrifying passes, his pure skill, clutch plays, and his good 3 pointer. If you're not sold yet, just watch this.

I take this question seriously. White Chocolate was fun to watch while he was in Sac-town. But he had a high turnover rate and he stopped playing with the flash once he was traded. In a King's jersey, he is one of the most entertaining players of his generation, but he just doesn't have the stats or the success to back up a HOF resume.

I loved Jason's game, but are we really asking this question?

I love WC and he was a beast in Sac, but no way is he a HOF'er...he has never even been the best player on any of his teams, hes a good point guard....but def not a HOF'er

Does "And 1 Mixtape" have a HOF? He had some flashy moments, but not on a HOF level.

No.

I understand he hasn't had a HOF career but seeing a lot of these reactions makes me think like we are talking about a scrub here. So many young kids are here who obviously weren't lucky enough to watch a prime J-Will.

I love him, but no way he is a HOF, he has what? One Championship, and that is all. Never been MVP on a team he was on, he was just a nice skilled player. O and he wasn'y clutch at all, he could shoot you in or out the game.xD. Still love him.xD

I had to read this thread to try and remember who Jason Williams was!

I though he was the guy who shot his chauffer.

HOF?????????? hysterical - put him in there next to whoever wins the HORSE competition at the All Star game

To get to the HOF you need to perform at a very high level for an extended period of time.

While he was exciting to watch, Williams prime was short lived and wasn't high enough to justify HOF consideration anyway.

Behind the back no look passes can look nice on the highlight reel, once they edit out the ones that ended up in the stands.

07-27-2012, 07:33 AM
Jason Williams was so sick with the passes!!!! He was at his best on the Kings. I remember seeing that off the elbow one. Not a HOF'er but he was extremely fun to watch. One of my favs from back then.

To me he is because of his play in college and his originality with his passing in the pros. But hey that's me. I recognize I'm a minority. But DAMN could that kid play...

king4day
07-27-2012, 08:33 AM
I've seen him play. He hasn't had a big enough impact on the league in the short time he played for me to consider him anywhere close to being a hall of famer.

LOL @ the people acting like JWILL was a scrub in his PRIME he was a top-10 PG and THE most exciting PG in the game by FARRRRRRRR. I remember when the Kings were an 8 seed and almost derailed the Lakers dynasty. They took them to 7 games because him and C-Webb were insane.

Super.

No. Because its the Basketball Hall of Fame not the NBA Hall of Fame he has no shot. If he'd played his peak years in with a top team Europe instead of the NBA I would say he would have a better shot at making the cut though.

Jason Williams in his prime was still not a top 3 point guard in the league. Would you put Jameer Nelson or Mike Conley in the Hall of Fame? How about John Paxson? Those are the people he is most comparable too.

Highly agree. J-Will was absolutely electrifying, explosive, and clutch. Unfortunately, that was only in a Kings jersey. After he got swapped for Bibby he lost that spark. It's unfortunate. Maybe he could have been a HOF had he kept a consistency throughout the rest of his career. Sadly, he didn't. At least he got a ring, though.

Prime J-Will?

Please, he was entertaining for maybe between 99-03, but that's it. Fundamentally, he was a nightmare and hoisted 3's like no other. Hubie Brown used to have a heart attack trying to coach that guy in Memphis.

You're just saying this because he was part of the 06 Heat championship team. :laugh2:

no he's not a HOF,but I can see some people don't understand the hall of fame.It is not the nba hall of fame,it's the basketball hall of fame and they count every thing you do in basketball that's from the time you start playing the game.

And C.Webb will be in the hall along with the fab 5.

Hellcrooner
07-28-2012, 03:11 AM
someone that i do think that should get Hof consideration is Mugsy Bogues.

Why?

Just imagine the amount of true talent you need to have to make it into the pros and have a long career as starter when you are so small that you cant enter some places in Disney world.

Not to mention he was the starting Pg on the U.S.A team that won the basketball world cup in 1986.

Underdogz∞
07-28-2012, 03:34 AM
Jason Williams would get hot and take over some games and be the best player out there at times but thats as good as he gets. Lets not throw HOF around like its an All Star appearance or something. HOF is only for the best OF THE BEST meaning you can't just be Lamar Odom and get in you have to be Kobe. You can't just be good you have to be great.
