We did a redraft in the Mavs forum over the last month and would appreciate everyones help in picking a winner. Please put your vote in on who you think would win a 7 game series between the two teams listed below. Please leave all bias out of your decision in interest of fairness!

The Red Team have home court advantage.

Death Row Inmates

PG - Kyrie Irving - Tyreke Evans
SG - Jason Kidd - OJ Mayo - Raja Bell
SF - LeBron James - Dorell Wright
PF - Greg Monroe - Chris Andersen
C - Marcus Camby - Chris Kaman - Robin Lopez

The Red Team

C: Marc Gasol | Tiago Splitter | Taj Gibson
PF: Al Jefferson | Taj Gibson | Brendan Wright
SF: Shawn Marion | Kyle Korver | Richard Hamilton
SG: Dwyane Wade | Iman Shumpert | Richard Hamilton
PG: Mike Conley | Kirk Hinrich | Iman Shumpert

Inmates won't lose

Comes down to frontcourts

Gasol >>>>>>>> Camby
Al > Monroe

Comes down to frontcourts

Gasol >>>>>>>> Camby
Al > Monroe

Kyrie Irving > Mike Conley
Jason Kidd < Dwyane Wade
LeBron James > Shawn Marion
Greg Monroe = Al Jefferson
Marcus Camby < Marc Gasol

Death Row Bench > Red Team Bench

Comes down to defense. A simple zone would destroy the offensive flow of the Red Zone. They don't have the ability to spread the floor to keep the defense honest.

Death Row's front court is not as offensively potent as the Red Teams, but they are exponentially more defensively potent. Marc Gasol is an average defender while Al Jefferson a below-average defender. Inmate's guards and small forwards will ravage the Red Team's front court. Simple as that.

"Offense wins games, DEFENSE wins championships."

Kidd should back up Irving and Evans should start at sg

Inmates. They have the best player on the planet on their team + Kyrie Irving = WIN

death row easy choice

It's what I was originally going to do but I think Kidd in the starting line-up makes too much sense. He can guard PG, SG, and SFs, brings championship experience, spread the floor, and is a true leader. Plus, Tyreke Evans is much better as a 6th man where he can play his preferred position at PG on the 2nd unit.

Evans would be getting more playing time than Kidd, but Kidd would be in from the start at in the 4th quarter.

I ask myself: What would it take to be the Inmates?

An elite 2-way center to abuse past his prime Camby? Check.
An elite defensive wing to guard LeBron? Check.
An elite SG to abuse past his prime Kidd? Check.

They're a perfect match for this team. I'm voting Red Team.

Death Row

I love that Red Team. They can't shoot for ****, but who the hell cares with Wade attacking the rim and with probably the 2 most physical bigs with Al and Marc. Red Team takes this, especially with a fantastic defender in Marion on LeBron

Gah **** me this should not be this lopsided

yeah I don't get it either. I think the red team is quite a bit better

In a stacked redraft (I'm guessing there was only 20 or so teams?) the team with LeBron looks that much more unbeatable. If you really look at the full rosters, I still got the Red Team.

i really like both teams, a lot actully, both are incredibly deep and each has an elite and in his prime superstar who can carry their teams when need be. With that said i went with death row, so many weapons in the back court and a great mix or youth and veteran leadership
