Hustle player. Not bad for any team to have.

I really like this. I think he's better than Hollins. He can bring a lot of what Reggie Evans brought to the team, but he's a FAR better free throw shooter. I think having Hollins and Turiaf battling for the 10th man minutes will be pretty good. If we need an energy guy who can rebound we got Turiaf, if we need a 7 footer that can, well stand close to the basket and be tall we got Hollins!

Without a doubt I think Odom, Hollins and Turiaf is a better big man rotation than K-Mart and Evans were. The Clippers have managed to upgrade every position, with the player they lost that is very impressive!

Good move for the clips to try and find a replacement for Evans. Turiaf brings that championship experience too lol

Maybe but when the playoffs came and teams started using hackareggie he was less then worthless. Spurs closed out 2 games fouling Reggie the last 5 minutes.

Pretty good pickup as a replacement for evans. Doesn't do everything reggie did for sure, but also doesn't have the negatives like the ft shooting someone mentioned earlier

I didnt see that all. Hack a player isnt going to close any game, Spurs whomped on us, wouldve happened regardless.

And in the playoffs is when Reggie locked down, cant say the same for Turiaf.

True but there were 2 games, 1 was game 4 where we were down 8-10 with about 5 to go and they just started hacking Reggie. Not saying we would have won, but we obviously couldn't come back like that.

High motor, high energy player. I liked him and would have liked him back. Clippers are a great destination nowadays. Good for him. I look forward to the clippers next season.

P.s. thanks for opting out of our vet min to then accept it somewhere else!!! I am slightly offended.

This.

Crawford=Mo
Billups>Foye
Hill>Young
Odom, Hollins, Turiaf>KMart, Reggie

The current roster is better than the playoff roster IMO. Vinny still sucks at coach, but having a full training camp with CP3 should benefit the team greatly! I thought it would be hard to improve the roster but they have managed to do it!!

Agree with your analysis on the player upgrades...

only problem is that they got a TON older... not a bad thing if everyone stays healthy but Billups/Hill are a risk

For the Clippers to make a real push though it is pretty simple... DeAndre Jordan has to breakout and Caron has to play better than the last couple of years...

if not this team is no worse than a 2nd round exit and maybe a WCF... but no way they get out of the west.

Also agree on Del Negro being a negative.

Really? Is a jumper the only means of judging a player?

Yes... He is not instant offense, but his high motor and activity make him a great pick up. Most fans of teams he has been on rarely complain about having him on their team. Classy, hard working, scrappy player that will do small stuff (non statistical) to help your team.

I would have loved to have him back. Not a starter, but a great back up option.

I agree, while Hill si an upgrade over Young today, I'd rather have Young for the long run. The Clippers didn't make any moves to help their future or move any closer to being a contender unless DJ breaks out like you said. If he can shoot 60% from the FT line, grab 12 boards a game and do something on defense besides wildly attempting to block shots we may just end up contending. I am not counting on that. I'm not counting on Butler 1 bit.

I am however happy with the offseason. They managed not to take a step back. I worried they would. If they had, you could forget 2nd round and the team would have possibly been battling for a playoff spot. That wouldn't be good enough to keep CP3 around. We become a contender next season when VDN's contract is up and we hire a better coarch. Wouldn't mind seeing Vinny stick around as GM.
