Penny was crazy good, but nothing beats Rider's shot in this video.

How come it seems like in 90's footage the crowd was always bigger and much more involved? They were too HYPE back then!!!

Penny was sick. That dunk by Starks on Hakeem was nasty too

Too bad injuries destroyed Hardaway's career. SO many great careers derailed by injury. Hardaway, T-Mac, Hill etc.

that was the case from 1960s on. something happened in the late 90s which killed the enthusiasm...

Starks over the Dream was insane, he made it look easy.

EWING domination, is all I gotta say.

As for the Starks dunk on Hakeem. It happens. These centers from the 90's (Shaq, Ewing, Robinson, Hakeem, Dikembe, Alonzo) were true beasts. Look at this video and how Ewing went for those balls. Or look at that famous "pippen over ewing" video. These centers DID NOT BACK DOWN. Hakeem just went hard and Starks got him.

That is why when Blake Griffen dunked on Ibaka (I think those were the players...or was it Perkins) this year I still gave props to the defender. No backing down. Offensive player went hard and the defensive player went hard. Nothing but beauty there.

Yeah man the Center position has become so soft and weak, its pathetic.

i think it has to do with the stupid ticky tacky fouls. the centers can't even make a defensive play on a offensive player without getting into foul trouble.

Part of it is because arenas lower the lights in the stands now a days. Back then, the stands were lit just as bright as the floor. Thats part of the reason why teams like OKC looks like that in the crowd, they still have the stands lit nicely.
