Here are a few of mine:
KG vs Duncan in their primes.
Shaq vs Kobe after he left the Lakers.
Bulls vs Rockets in the 90's.

A few teams I wish would have made the Finals:
Nash's Suns when they were elite
The Kings during Laker's reign

A few that happened but I wish we could see/have seen more:
LeBron vs Durant (will there be more to come?)
Wilt vs Bill (only met once, Bill's last year in the league, Celtics won 4-3, West won MVP)
Magic vs Michael (only met once, I think it was Magic's last year before retiring early)

KG and Duncan were in the same conference in their primes.

Anyways, I would have loved to have seen Detroit-Minnesota in 2004. I would have loved to have seen San Antonio-Miami in 2006.

and any Nash led Phoenix team, though I hated Amare when he was there.

Well, I meant more recently. Not technically their primes, but they were still playing at high levels. Such as about 5 years ago when KG first came to the Celtics. That would have been an amazing Finals matchup.

nets vs kings 2002 (should have happened, crooked refs)
blazers vs pacers 2000 (had the not completely collapsed in game 7 vs LA)
basically any title kobe won i want changed, lol

Kobe vs LeBron

Kobe waited 3 straight yrs in the finals for LeBron, and he left Kobe, Laker fans and the entire NBA World high and dry.

Oh, and wish the 98 Lakers w/ Shaq, Kobe, Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones beat the Jazz in the conference finals so we could have seen Young Afro Kobe vs MJ!

That definitely would have been special, and it was also Phil's last season, and he got his first championship coaching AGAINST the Lakers.

Everything would have come full circle.

The Kobe vs Lebron finals that we were never granted with seeing is probably the most intriguing one.

I also would have loved seeing the c-webb, peja, bibby kings play in the finals...but shaq called 'em queens for a reason right? :violin:

Hoping we get to see Lebron vs Kobe this year, but IMO it won't have the same value as what the 2009 matchup could have gave us. Kobe was the unquestioned best player in the game, making the finals 3 years in a row. Would have been going for his 5th ring while Lebron goes for his 1st. Could have potentially been a changing of the guard. Even the NBA hyped up that matchup so much with those puppet commercials.

Definitely 2009 LeBron Kobe in recent memory. The puppets, the MVP race hype, both teams finishing 1st and that was the year they were closest in prime years. lebron was just hitting his pinnacle a little less then the lebron we see now and kobe was a slightly less kobe the one that dropped the 81. Seeing Kobe play lebron when the spurs dogged him in 07 would have favored kobe and any matchups now would of course favor lebron i definitely think we missed out :sigh:

'93-'94 Hawks vs Sonics. Both #1 seeds and Jordan was finally out of the way.

'Nique was out for the first game in Seattle but the Hawks still took 'em to OT, and we won the second game at home right before the trade deadline with both teams at full strength. The next day, 'Nique was traded to the Clips for Danny Manning. :sigh: Sonics had the better record, but I'll always believe Atlanta wins the title if they don't make that deal.

Would have loved Spurs-Celtics this season.

This. I would have loved to see Garnett and Duncan go head-to-head with Pop and Rivers trying to out-coach each other. That would have been a great series, but alas, the officials made sure it was the Thunder vs. The Heat....

This is hypothetical, but I would love to see the 2008 Celtics against the 2012 Miami Heat.

Big Three vs. Big Three.

you & me both, but the Jazz owned the Lakers every year back then. they were just extremely well coached & played great fundamental basketball. same with the Pacers, especially the 98 Pacers (best Pacers team ever NBA wise), they had the Bullls on the ropes, even had the Bullls down 4 in the 4th Q of game 7, lost a tight one, no choke job though. what an epic series

2012 Heat barely beat the 2012 Celtics who were banged up and had much older players out of there primes.
