Instant replay will be used now on all flagrant foul calls, Stern says. Referees will be able to look at replay before determining degree.

During last two minutes of regulation or overtime, replay will be used to review restricted area calls and goaltending callls, Stern said.

Flopping and away-from-the-ball fouls were discussed and referred to the competition committee for more discussion at the September meeting.

Can't go wrong with this.

BIG step for the NBA.

As for flopping, they need to give postgame reviewed punishment. Say Manu or Lebron flops badly, the opposing team can submit video evidence of it to NBA front offices after the game.

Punishment would be being forced to sit out the following game + fine. This would curb so many players from flopping overnight.

good stuff. i'm all for them getting it right even if they have to slow the game down a bit to do the reviews.

One step closer to allowing coaches to carry challenge flags

These are good changes. Especially the reviewing of all flagrant fouls. I still don't know how they will be able to tell if someone flopped or not. And if they do approve it there could be games with a lot of stoppage in it.

I actually like it. Losing or Winning on the right call makes the game better. As long as the correct call is made, i'm fine with it.

OMG, they may take away the flop meaning a player will have to play real defense or really get fouled.

Yes you can. You can slow down the last two minutes to a painstaking crawl.

it wouldnt, just like fining players for hard hits in the NFL hasnt stopped hard hits. The only efficient way to truly get rid of flopping is for refs to stop calling fouls. Make a player actually foul you before calling a foul, not these ******** contact fouls that are always called....

People always have to complain about something. Seriously, these are good moves by the NBA.

Good. Though I hope it doesn't slow the game down even more.

Slow it down! **** it! If it's fair it's worth it. I like this for the game, very interested to hear what's the ruling on flopping.
