The Nuggets have amnestied Chris Andersen.

Denver needed to clear Andersen from their cap in order to sign Anthony Randolph.

Randolph will sign a three-year, $6 million contract with Denver.

As per REAL GM.

Who do you think will pick up Andersen?

Doesn't Anderson have some child porn charges against him?

Who would want him with that kind of spotlight on him?

No. Pretty sure he was cleared on the charges. The media just jumps on a story, and makes him look guilty before the facts are out. The girl said she was legal, and when Andersen cut off communication with her, she tried to extort money from him.

Lateral move. Birdman's production has declined quite rapidly the last couple seasons. And Anthony Randolph isn't that good either...

I think he's actually an anti-childporn activist, and the charges were dropped when this was found out. There were some kind of searches on his computer that drew red flags but he was cleared.....if my memory serves me correct.
I found this out when I did my routine search of "child porn" and "huge dudes with tattoos and mohawks"

Lakers go after him for minimum plz. Worth the risk to get an energy and hustle guy added to our frontcourt. Much needed, I'd rather have him than JO to be honest. At least he brings energy and can move, JO is a statue.

I'm surprised. Andersen is such a high energy player and a good defender, but I guess Denver is loaded at that position. He'll be a great pick up for whoever signs him. I think he still has some game left.

Birdman seems like a good guy, especially since his recovery. I'm so glad that it was just a crazy ***** trying to extort money out of him. I bet this whole incident took a lot out of him. I hope he ends up playing backup somewhere good this year.

Good guys aren't connected to child porn. I thought they would be able to simply void his contract.

Without a conviction they can't prove he did anything wrong. The NBAPA would be all over that.

I agree but Denver didn't wait around to find out before sending him home. I haven't heard anything else about it so who knows?

He is not a good defender. He goes for blocks and takes himself outta position. We have 3 players better than him at that position.
Take it for its worth i watched the Nuggets practice and it looked like he wanted no part of the team.

AR is a young kid with a lot of potential but needs to get his head in the game. I wanted to keep him in MN but he wasn't getting many minutes and I can't blame him for moving on.

It's funny how a scout or two labels you "raw" and you get millions of dollars just in case you are to turn into an average nba player. Randolph literally gets paid $2M per year to get kicked out of movie theaters (with Michael Beasley), show up for practice and half *** it, then sit on the bench with the team.

He is SO lost when he is on the floor. He is incredibly unaware of everything around him. Unless you give him the ball with an open lane and yell "DUNK!" he's useless. I'm not saying this because Minnesota was the last team he was on and I'm mad we didn't want him, I'm saying this because I've watched his lazy *** the past few years...

Bad move for Randolph. He needs to go to a team willing to work with him and George Karl doesnt have the best resume when it comes to that. Also with Chandler, Gallinari, McGee, Faried.....that isnt much available playing time.

He should have gone to Phoenix

Yeah, many teams pick him up, thinking they can be the team that finally gets something out of him. But to no avail.

However, Randolph and McGee is a nasty 2k frontcourt. Lawson, Afflalo, and Gallo shooting the ball with those two protecting the paint and you have yourself a great 2k dark horse.
