Joined Miami to ring chase - didn't win.
Joined Boston to ring chase - didn't win.

WATCH OUT LA - the curse of Jermaine.

Kidding aside, he'll play at MOST 10-15 minutes a game

The Pacers, according to an NBA front office source, have expressed interest in Lakers forward Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Kwame Brown and the team's No. 19 overall pick. The Pacers are willing to move Jermaine O'Neal for them, according to ESPN. Odom does not want to go to Indiana, however.

June 9th 2007.

How time's have changed. lol. Thank God that trade never went through. Lakers won 2 titles after that.

I guess he can keep the bench warm for Bynum

Interesting to see what Germany did for him. If he was able to be half of what he was he's an upgrade. Plus at the end of the day if they keep Andrew, he's a clear cut mentor who knows what it is like to be the big coming out of high school, deal with injuries, anchor the same defensive scheme, and how it was going from the bench to an all star.

I hope if they do sign him, There's still someway they can keep Jordan Hill. Hope he hasnt fully committed to Minnesota.

JO says he had the Orthokine treatment and really feels better than he has in years... no knee pain at all.

With Troy Murphy last year and Jermaine O'Neal this year, it looks like the Lakers are going all out in terms of signing former Pacers who were coming off of horrendous seasons with the Boston Celtics.

he will be a good back up c ... its not like the guys gonna play more then 10-15 mins max. he is a good shot blocker and low post defensive pressence.

TylerSL
07-17-2012, 02:46 PM
Jordan Hill will play over him. will never get to play, their bigs rotation will get all 48 minutes

You guys are undervaluing JO. The guy is still a solid backup center in the league and will only help the lakers 15mins a night, book it.

Yannis Koutroupis ‏@YannisHW
They move him over to the other side, same thing.

1m Yannis Koutroupis ‏@YannisHW
Running Jermaine through post up moves on left block. Uses hooks with both hands, throws down a few times with ease.

Yannis Koutroupis ‏@YannisHW
Jermaine now doing half court sprints, catching passes and dunking on the way back. He's still quick.

Yannis Koutroupis ‏@YannisHW
Now full court sprints for Jermaine, pushin it like Nash is running the break for him.

Yannis Koutroupis ‏@YannisHW
After set of sprints they put Jermaine on the line, sinkin' em.

Yannis Koutroupis ‏@YannisHW
the workout is intensifying as it goes on. Jermaine is definitely in shape.

16m Yannis Koutroupis ‏@YannisHW
Jermaine is showcasing that he can still shoot and move around well.

I'm sure he's in fine shape, but he'll take one fall and break his wrist or something. For the 10-15th bench spot it's an alright singing but don't expect much.

Who's laughing now? This guy was an All Star 10 years ago. The Lakers can't be stopped...except by father time.

Maybe worth the min for size alone, but hes shouldn't even be used as the 3rd big off the bench.

IBleedPurple
07-17-2012, 06:00 PM
He's not awful, he's just not the JO people are used to from the past. If you disregard his name/history, he's a pretty good end-of-the-bench guy.

dodie53
07-17-2012, 06:08 PM
can't have too many bigs at the bench

I don't know dodie, Murphy was a pretty big waste of space and money.
