First Cleveland lost the best player got the number 1 pick then NO lost the best PG and got the number 1 pick if Orlando just make the lottery are they a lock to get the number 1 pick or will the League be to afraid of looking shady in the draft. thoughts ?

they won't have the worst record but yet they will still land the first pick because the draft is rigged eh

I'm gonna say yes, if they suck enough they might just deserve it.

Of course. Stern has his ping pong balls all ready for them.

And my God do those fans deserve it.... Dwight is the biggest clown in pro sports.

It depends where he goes. If he doesnt end up going to Houston, then the Rockets are a lock for the worst record.

I think the OP is implying that the record will have nothing to do with the Magic getting the 1st overall pick...

the bulls will get it because the league has to stay face incase drose never returns to form

Maybe eventually but Stern owes the Bobcats one first.

well....cleveland got it with the CLIPPERS pick. so the clippers technically won the rights to the #1 pick but traded it.

theres no garauntee that the magic get it. even if they are the worst team in the league...just look at the bobcats.

now, the NBA is rigged, so i wouldnt be surprised.

Puck017

NVM they traded for the second pick

That fact is irrelevant. If the league were rigging lotteries it wouldn't matter about whose pick it was so much as who the pick belongs to at the present.

I say get in line. The nba owes Charlotte first

there should be a rule that if a teams star player leaves them then they can get top 3 in the draft...since it's rigged anyway..

I sure hope so.

When Lebron left Cleveland it was a tragedy. When Dwight leaves Orlando it'll be a relief. While Dwight comes off as a baby, the Magic have had their share of douchebaggery in all of this. I don't think they get #1.

Toronto needs to get the first pick in a year where soft Euro bigs are not present, simply because we've sucked since Carter left, and we need a good team for once....pwetty please Stern.

The NBA Draft is rigged... so, yes. With the 1st pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic select Nerlens Noel, C/Kentucky.

Do this many people really think the lottery is rigged?

Norm

We need to push for them to pull the balls on actual TV.

Stern goes psycho all over the radio and TV when there's a ****ing easy solution to the accusations.

People's minds are already made up that it's rigged. If Orlando doesn't win, the theories will change to save face and to try and convince it's rigged. If Orlando jumps to the top 3, it's rigged even though the Magic have a 1 and 4 change to move up. :laugh2:

You can't do it on TV, because it's a slow process and it unveils the winner of the lottery first rather than the reverse order that's shown on TV. It's boring and kills the suspense.

An easy fix would probably be a stream on nba.com or something that gets put up after the draft, but people would probably find a way to disbelieve that as well. There are already representatives and members of the media present in the room when the lottery is taking place, that should be enough to dissuade the conspiracy theorists.

Ah, I guess I hadn't thought that hard about it, like the order.

I wasn't aware there were real reporters even present. I heard on ESPN or FOX Radio it was all in private.

There's seriously a good shot it's rigged. And honestly, I don't really care. Draft lotteries are stupid anyways.

i always see people say they should put the process on TV. Man, it has nothing to do with if it is rigged or not. All ball machines, are fixable. I'm a software engineer, while i don't work for that kind of stuff, some of my college buddies work for these type of machine industries. Guess what? there is a software behind it, and you can do anything, i mean everything. Team represantatives being there don't mean **** too.

It all comes down to if you trust them or not, personally i don't.

As long as they have a bottom four record - which they will- then yea. The lottery is so rigged its crazy. Makes me hope that whenever the Knicks manage to get into the lottery and still have their pick we'll actually be able to rebuild the right way.

The magic will get the #2 pick cuz stern will give it to jordan #1. But jordan will **** up the pick and the magic will get the best player.
