The Hawks are pretty underrated now with Korver.

Interesting input. With the addition of Kyle Korver, the Hawks become a solid three point shooting team. But I think they need a couple more good/great three point shooters to be in the conversation for the best three point shooting team in the NBA.

They also have Anthony Morrow, who despite having his worst season of his career, is one of the best shooters in the history of the NBA. I'm not a Hawks fan, but I know they are a clear lock for being a top 5 shooting team this year.

Hawks were 5th overall in 3PT% last season with guys like Kirk Hinrich, Willie Green and Marvin Williams... and replaced them with Korver, Morrow and Jenkins.

The hawks will be pretty good. Not sure why the bulls got rid of korver, that reinsdorf is cheap and now the bulls have no three point threats.

The Heat are streaky. The Spurs shoot it like layups.

Run&Gun
07-13-2012, 11:40 PM
On paper the heat, but overall last year during the regular season they didn't shoot that well, granted adding Ray Allen and Lewis will help, but seeing how Bron, Wade and Bosh all play at least 35+min a game and they don't shoot well from three, this team probably won't make the most threes but may have a good percentage.

Warriors I think will prob. lead the league in three point shooting in makes possibly percentage. Curry (45%) Thompson (41%) Jefferson (42%) Rush (45%) Barnes will prob hit mid 30% for 40%, last year all those guys at least hit 1.5 threes a game. From sheer volume it's going to be between Golden State and the Spurs.

Corey
07-13-2012, 11:50 PM
I think the Warriors have the potential to be the best.

Tossing out Curry, Thompson, R-Jeff, Barnes, Rush, and Nate Rob (if/when they resign him) throughout the game is deadly.

obviously there isn't any truth to that rumor. you think lewis would want to go to play on miami if he did that? or that lebron would ok it with the front office? the heat are very carefully when they sign players to make sure that they are a good fit on the court and in the locker room.

miami was very streaky last year for sure. there were games where almost every 3 seemed to drop, and others where they couldn't buy a 3. allen and lewis will probably help in that area though, and lebron and wade will probably take even less 3s with so many specialists around now to space the floor for them.

think about a 3pt shooting contest during a heat practise. would be pretty sweet with

allen
miller
jones
battier
lewis
chalmers

would be fun to watch for sure since all of them are basically 40% 3pt shooters.

Josh Smith is a below average three point shooter.

By this guy's logic ^.. how is it not the Warriors?...

Battier and Chalmers don't even shoot over 40%.

Curry - 45% from 3
B. Rush - 45% from 3
Thompson - 41% from 3
R. Jefferson - 42% from 3

You could even throw in Jarret Jack who shot better than Battier from 3 and our rookies Harrison Barnes(35% from 3), Draymond Green(38% from 3).

So the upcoming Warriors shoot better from 3 and shoot more.. so how is it the Heat and not the Warriors?
