right now bench is evans and brooks and possibly teletovic, depending on if hump resigns.

i want them to sign al thorton off their d league squad. i think he could help them.

as for their backup PG and C, minimum guys it is. cant complain too much. i like the new squad a lot more than the old one

EDIT: green was never gonna be a net. most we could offer was 1.2. he was worth way more on the market and got what he deserved

Again...there is ZERO source to confirm this.

The Pacers are expected to offer free agent swingman Gerald Green a three-year, $10 million contract, which the Nets would likely be unable to match.
The Pacers passed on Green to take Danny Granger in the draft a few years ago and might have a chance to play them together this season. Green was a surprising hit in New Jersey last season and could be a solid source of scoring (and dunking) off the Pacers bench.

no. we're talkin' about the gerald green that averaged 13pts in 25 minutes, shot 48% from the field and 39% from three and was responsible for 50% of the Nets' highlight reels last year. THAT gerald Green

It was unrealistic to think the Nets could retain him. Good luck to him, Indiana is receiving a terrific talent and a class act.

So have fun because ultimately we can ******** all we want, we'll see when the regular season starts who's better.

All I hear from everybody on PSD is the Nets are a 5th seed at BEST!!

but...

Knicks are still the same team that was barely a 7th seed and won 1 playoff game then celebrated like they won a chip. You added a couple of 40 year olds and suddenly you guys are world beaters? Same story different season with that team. Still a bunch of selfish players who dont fit, take terrible shots and cant get a stop when they need it.

I am not saying we are a one seed but the Celtics have taken a step back imo, are getting even older, and i think we are better than the 76ers.

The Knicks should compete for their division and at worst be a 4th or 5th seed.

Again, they had no time to play with each other last year at all, no practice time and did considerably better with Woodson behind the bench than D'Antoni.

All those things plus a deeper bench should factor into the Knicks being better.

Brooks and D League bench

Joe Johnson and Wallace are going to be playing most minutes, so I dont see how they got worse and worse when they went from a lottery team to a playoff team. I think your talking about the mavs.

Gerald Green finally started to put things together last season after a slow/disappointing start to his career. The Pacers are already an athletic team with some slashers and they just improved that aspect with adding Green.

Again, the only thing I have seen, is that he has been reportedly offered a deal by the Pacers.

I'm not saying it won't happen, but no one has been able to provide a source that this is a done deal. I just don't like the title and discussion to suggest it's done, when in fact it isn't.
