Warriors save about 4 million per year. And we needed to unload him

More money for them to offer Hickson too.

Right you are. This is a good move for the warriors and sixers since Harkless is a little injured.

Don't think he was gonna see any time at SF with the warriors with Barnes/Jefferson/Green.

Plus the warriors get more cap space for THIS season too. Do the warriors get a trade exception out of this since we don't take a player back?

That means Harrison Barnes will start... which means Rookie of the Year contender.

Iggy, Harkless and now Wright? Hm.....

Nice for both teams. What pick was it..a #1 or 2?

Correction: the Warriors are not getting a future pick for DWright. They are getting a player Philly previously drafted and stashed overseas

This guy is a Warrior's beat writer and I'm assuming he is right about this not being for a draft pick.

Harkless will most likely spend most of his time this year getting DNP's, getting some run in blow outs, and chilling in the d-league. He has a long way to go before he is an NBA SF.

I like what the sixers are doing replacing 6'1 Lou Williams with 6'7 Nick Young and 6'4 Jodie Meeks with 6'9 Dorrell Wright.

are you telling me they got Wright for a late round pick?

You have to think a Iguodala trade is coming. Turner, Young, Harkless, Wright, Iguodala is beyond crowded. Probably looking to move Iguodala for a big man.

Yea I am thinking either Thad or iggy are on their way out

Warriors save money, and now we can use our full mid-level exception without going into the luxury tax, allowing us to sign J.J Hickson.

So the Warriors have $8,000,000 to sign both Rush & Hickson.

I wouldn't assume we're signing Hickson just yet. I've heard Hill or Jamison could be in the picture as well.

They are, but Jamison is having a mental conflict between going back to the team that drafted him or to be closer to his family in Carolina, and he will likely choose his family, which is fine because I'd prefer Hickson anyway due to his youth. I don't really want Hill, but if we end up getting him, I guess he could somewhat contribute to the team. I just think Hickson would be better.

I like the move. Essentially another shooter (which we need) on an expiring deal for free.

But there is a second move coming. I personally hope it is Turner + Thad for a big but it will probably be Iguodala for a big

Wouldn't be surprised if Iggy and Thad are both traded.

I may be on the verge of seeing my second favourite A.I. leaving Philly soon :sad2:

I like the deal but IMO it clearly means that something is imminent. Hoping we can get a solid defensive big somehow. If not I much rather us stay put.

What would it take to get Iguodala to the Raptors?

I actually really like our off season so far and this move...If we get rid of iggy and tank next season we could be really really good in 2 years with a ton of cap space in free agency plus the emergence of our young guys...Its nice when the front office is starting to get tired of mediocrity.
