Going back to his hometown. Good for him, I'll miss the guy. He definitely drove me nuts sometimes in Philly because he often played like he thought he was Kobe... But he was good enough in that he has a real nature ability to score and get to the line and he's fearless. Best of luck in Atlanta, Lou.

Good move for the Hawks. To me they were at their best when they had Jamal Crawford as their 6th man. Lou Williams is a nice replacement. He'll drive you nuts occasionally with his dumb shot selection, but that there is a two edged sword: It can hurt you, and it's also what made him Philly's go-to-guy late in games. He's not afraid to take that big shot.

I don't know why they traded for Harris. I thought Marvin was better and more valuable being a SF. Maybe they think Harris will play like he did that one season where he was putting up 20+. I also think he will slow Teague's production. Lou, on the other hand, is one of the best scorers off the bench in the league. Good signing.

Yeah way too many guards

He might not be our 6th man though. This seems like a trade is coming, as we have 3 guys who can start at PG and 4 guys who can start at SG.

Can Lou and Smith convince Dwight to join forces with them again like in HS (AAU)? For their hometeam...

Solid signing for the Hawks and Lou Williams. Maybe their trying to add some more trade ammo for a potential Howard trade?

Romo2Bryant
07-10-2012, 05:52 PM
They could start the trade talks involving with Horford, Teague, Jenkins, and multiple 1st round picks for Howard..

Why are you all happy? He won't win anything, Hawks won't win anything, for a couple o years it is just Miami, OKC, mayby LAL..... Sad how it is right now.

Ferry has to be working a Dwight trade. Bringing Lou, Smith, and Morrow together just shows he is trying to have Dwight come too.

Lou should be much more comfortable being home. This guy was a celeb in high school as a junior, he know how to handle all the side distractions that come with it.

Harris, Teague, Lou... they all seem to be in the same tier.... smell something brewing.

Well atleast it isn't PFs anymore. We are finally stacking up PGs (scoring PGs though) after so many years of ignoring them.

This smells a lot like Teague going in a deal for D12...

Ferry is still insisting on not giving up Horford in the D12 deal.

Teague, Horford and picks for Howard is too much for a rental, but we would be able to offer him more money as a free agent and it's a chance I think we have to take. Looks like we have all of Dwight's friends and former teammates forming on the team. Quick, where is Randolph Morris?

Signs kind of point to that. Teague has to get paid as this is his contract year. Looking at previous signings there no way figure out how much he will demand. I'm pretty sure Lou signed a MLE type deal so it should be less than 20 million total for about 3-4 years.

Great fit for the Hawks to stay in the middle of the pack, and be a first round playoff exit.

Come on man don't rain on our parade. The Hawks finally have a GM who has a firm idea of the direction he wants to take the organization. In one day, he traded away two horrible contracts that were a cancer to this team and he's now building a roster that might not be elite next year, but will give us the chance to have a decent draft pick and plenty of cap space to bring in a big free agent or two next summer. This is what Hawks fans have needed for years.

Well we won't be paying someone 20 mil a year to do so anymore.

Still have cap room to go after the big dogs over these next few summers.

Horford and Teague for Dwight seems to be the consensus deal if a trade were to go down between the Hawks and Magic

We still have no one at the SF position, a bunch of guards, and in the Dwight chase. The summer isn't over for the Hawks.

With the signing for Lou Williams the Hawks got the point guard position cover as they set up a package for Dwight Howard. Last time I check the Hawks were offering Al Horford, Jeff Teague, draft picks and other players for Dwight Howard. The Hawks want Dwight Howard and Josh Smith to play together again like back in AAU. I think that's what it was call if not feel free to correct me.
