View Full Version : Should the NBA All Star Game determine home court in Finals?

So I was just looking over all of the great things that Bud Selig has done in the MLB, making it better than what it used to be, I then looked at what David Stern has done and wished that he was fired. We all know that the the NBA ASG is a joke, and no one bothers to play defense. It is more of a showcase than anything, and has really lost its lust over the last 5 years.
Would you want the All Star Game determine home court?

players of smaller markets with no shot at a title would most likely tank to prevent a rival from possibly having HCA

Hell no. You would have guys like Lebron, Kobe and Durant take every shot. At least Baseball everyone has to play and once you are taken out of the game you can't come back in.

Absolutely not. It's dumb that baseball does it, and it would be terrible if basketball followed suit.
There's no reason that a scrimmage game should ever factor into the possible outcome of a championship series.

Most people think it's a joke that MLB has the AS game as its deciding factor, so why would a different professional league go in the opposite direction?

it never should in any sport.

No offense but stupid idea.

07-10-2012, 12:17 PM
obviosly not. than why would the players work together in the ASG just to fight to the playoffs for the finals?

07-10-2012, 12:17 PM
No I hate that rule, why can't NBA players just have fun?

P.S. i gave this idea to david stern in the head office and now im fired. thanks alot lol

It's stupid in baseball, it'll be stupid in basketball. The best team should get home court in a 2-2-1-1-1 series.

Maybe it would be something they'd try but not sure if it would work for long. Either way I think it could make the game a little interesting but not for long.
