Just going up on ESPN. Clipoers will be 4th team in D Howard deal. They would take back MarShon Brooks in return for a lottery protected 1st

Where are the Nets getting all these first round picks ? A pick to the clippers a pick to the
Cavs and two or three picks to orlando ? How does that work ?

Yeah I dont get it either. Picks are attractive until you actually use them, and most likely you end up with a bad player.

Brooks is a solid player and should have been a top 10 pick last year. They are missing a lot.

Ditto. He hit the rookie wall hard last year because dude was the 2nd best player on the team all season. He has allstar potential next to CP3 and Blake.

As a GM you take best value as you can get. You don't make moves now in the hopes of looking into future. Bad move on Hennigan's part.

Crawford, Billups, Cp3, Bledsoe,MarShon, that is a STACKED backcourt.

Clippers like to hoard guards. They had 6 last year: CP3, Billups, Foye, M. Williams, Young and Bledsoe. It's stupid because they can't all get meaningful minutes. Why don't they try getting a backup SF or C for a change?

Because they're the clippers, they're doing all these moves without a gm. They're going to fire Del Negro in the middle of the season and have Billups coach.

I like the deal for the Clips. They need a versatile, lengthy, + athletic wing. The kid will start if Del Negro has some sense. Billups was a past his prime, long ball chucker..before the ACL injury. Putting Brooks at the 3 at times will definitely happen as well. I really hope this deal goes through for the Clips. My Clips add some talented youth in this deal and my Knicks gain a very formidable foe, if this trade goes down.

You cant talk **** about Billups shot selection when he was a far more efficient player than this rookie.

brooks is not a good on the ball defender, he does get steals just from his long wing span, hes not a good spot up shooter but a good shooter off the dribble, hes also a good passer and good rebounder for his position, great at creating shots for himself

As part of the proposed deal, the Clippers would send a lottery-protected first-round pick to Orlando for second-year guard Marshon Brooks.
Undoubtedly, in addition to acquiring Brooks, part of the appeal would be keeping Howard away from the Lakers and the rest of the Western Conference.
Brooks is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard who is a scorer and an above-average defender on the perimeter. He’s got a 7-foot-plus wingspan and a 38.5-inch vertical leap.
Brooks would likely be asked to play some small forward with the Clippers.
Last year with the Nets, Brooks averaged 12.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in under 30 minutes a game.
After being mentioned in the trade, Brooks became the No. 2 trend globally on Twitter.
Brooks would be joining a crowded backcourt featuring Chris Paul, Eric Bledsoe, Chauncey Billups and Jamal Crawford.

The 2 guard is crowded but he would certainly see some minutes at the 3. The Clipper ran multiple 3 guard sets last year with a combination of CP3, Foye, Mo, Bledsoe... At least now they will go from 6' to 6'5 lol

Nothing new...

Love this trade for the Clipps if it happens! There won't be any trouble finding him minutes. He'll start at SG until Chauncey gets healthy and either keep the role or play the 3 off the bench like Nick Young(a SG) did for us last year. Nice to see we still have some tricks up our sleeve without Olshey!

If this went through, good pick up for Clippers. When I saw him play, he made a lot of tough shots, but has some good moves. Kinda ball dominant though, never really saw Deron set up him, would just give him the ball and he would iso. Defense looked ok, but got to like the ability to shot and create off the dribble.

"Magic need to sit back and look at what there getting Lopez and scrubs with picks for a future hof'er and re-open bids."

There is just to many players and picks in this trade, 14 players 6 have to agree with sign and trades, picks coming in 3 diffeent directions and 2 teams basically with high robbery, the Magic looking REAL stupid. way to much.

Make this easy and trade him to Lakers for Bynum way simpliar. I understand neither is garentee-ing a contract extension but no crap we all know if they wait they will get 25 mil more like CP3 did. Niether dwight or Bynum will walk from that. I understand the clippers and dan gilbert **** blockn the lakers but magic just need to do whats best for there team and future! To be honest the Nets might do this deal even without a Howard trade. They already have their SG and it's smart to ship a player out once you have agreed to trade him. Especially a young guy who lost his starting gig. His value most likely won't go up and it would seem adding a pick might be a more valuable asset to the Nets. Especially if the Magic prefer a non lottery pick to Brooks. It's hard for me to see this trade happening with all the S&T's it would take, but I don't think the Nets would give up on Howard. This would be such a killer deal for the Clipps that I hope they can make it happen one way or another.
