Pacers had little to no choice about this one. Hopefully it's a good move long term....

He's getting the max anyway. He wouldn't sign it. Plus Portland doesn't have a disney world

@ justinnum1: except that we would then still be hearing more of the D12 crap as he whined more until he was sent to BKN....big baby...

Oooo... that would be SO classic. A nice loaded offer to Lopez or Humphries would sure make the Dwight trade interesting...

Well... I think they are over-paying Hibbert, but he may turn out to be worth the money in his play continues to improve like is has over the past couple of seasons.

Can't judge teams or players by what they did Against Miami. There a different kind of beast on all sides of the court, especially in the playoffs.

W that said, I still dont think he's worth max, but what choice does Indiana have?

THIS would be epic. And thus, it has to be done. I would of course offer less, maybe 50 mil?

Novak had bird rights which means they can still work out a S&T for him.

Agreed, but the difference w Miami is while they dont have a dominate center, the entire team crashs the boards hard.

And on defense, when they decide to make life hard for someone, they do a great job. After the first few games, Indiana couldn't even get the ball to him, and when they did, it wasn't where he wanted it.

it wasn't indianas fault, Miami did this to everyone in the playoffs. once they got a feel for a team, they locked them down.

Would of been nice to see him in portland alongside Aldridge . Portland made Indy overpay for him
